Hey there Fox,
As Prim. mentioned I have about 2000pts of Russians and maybe a bit more for Germans. Bothe are late wa armies but the Russians especially could be a mid-war army very easily. The Germans would Need a gew more models to change eras.
I don't have Americans, but the Free French Army I intend to build (I have the models already) is basically a American Armoured company with slightly different options.
Cheers

That's good to know. I'm not sure what army(ies) I would like to build yet. When I play WWII games, i tend to like the Soviets, but I just got my copy of the North Africa Intelligence handbook, and the Brits are looking rally cool. I'm probably going to order the Ostfront handbook, and once I do, I'll hav better idea of where to direct my energies.

BTW, what handbooks do you have?

I've just purchased a British Parra boxset and the rules for D Day minus 1. The best scenes of The Longest Day movie basically when they have to hold until relieved at Pegasus Bridge.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

That Boxset will give you a good basis for your troops, but you will need to buy some support units to bolster your numbers with. I'm not sure of the points values, but my rifle company boxset only came to around 1/2 of my 1500 point army if I used every single model in it.

How about we both save a bit of cash and pool our forces together to play the battle for Pegasus Bridge.
I've just ordered the D Day minus 1 book so this should cover it. Basically Major Howard and his Parras go in under cover darkness and take the Normandy Bridge, they then have to hold it until the regular army catch up via the d day landings. We could play it out using two tables, 1 for your rifles making there way to the bridge and the other for my parras holding it while we wait for you to catch up and bail us out.
What say you? Could be a good one for the future although it may take a weekend to play.

Do you want to play an infantry army, a mechanized army, an airborne army or an armour army?
Were you interested in a particular theatre (italy, france?)

You'll need to provide a few more details. http://www.maelstromgames.co.uk/index.p ... in-fow-usa will show you how much choice you have.

I have a few suggestions for you but this is a PG rated forum so I'll bite my tongue. If you want to play Patton then you had better invest in some Brits, Canadians and American Infantry to do all the hard for you while your Johnny come lately tanks steal all the glory. :D

P.S. Herr Wittman encourages you to buy all the Shermans you want. :ugeek:
