What did you do today.
Re: What did you do today.
I'm glad you people had fun playing I wish you were closer to Kobe so I could join! Yesterday I did some voluteer job on a home for kids and today I'm dead tired. But the wife is going away to Tokyo on work related matters and I promise in the name of Holy Terra to pick up the brushes and paint something this week from my miniature pile!

@Konrad, That Richard Nixon bust would fit right into some ramshackle mutie settlement as a monument, even as inspiration for some cult! Dredd strip used other presidents such as Carter before.

Am pretty sure Nixon was the main inspiration for the last president of the US in Dredd, President Booth ("Smooth Booth" not so dissimilar to "Tricky Dicky"), who was responsible for the atom wars which led to the Judges being in charge.

We used to play "Block Mania" back in the day, and "Millhouse Nixon" was the name of one of the blocks. "Buddy Holly Block"...."Sly Stalone Block".....I forget the other one.Lovejoy wrote:@Konrad, That Richard Nixon bust would fit right into some ramshackle mutie settlement as a monument, even as inspiration for some cult! Boardgame Geek says Sammy Fox Block? Sam Fox was a glamour model who used to display her 'assets' in newspapers at the time.
Achieved what I set out to do and finished 8 apes and 8 robots this weekend for 2 Dredd gangs. And so to bed.

Yesterday and this morning I worked some more on a squad of WW2 resistance fighters. Their base colours are largely blocked in, so they are ready for their first wash. With any luck I will have some free time this afternoon to do that, then I can do their faces and hands this evening.
