me_in_japan wrote:today I played the same f**ing bit of dead space 3 that I've been playing for the past month. It's a darn tricky bit where you have to fight off a whole bunch of unkillables until a tram arrives and you run away. Then the next (side) mission starts. Every frickin time I would spend ten minutes tryinganddying on the pre-tram bit, finally manage it, then spend 20-30 mins on the side mission. Itd get late, Id save it, and go to bed. Then when I load the game, boom - back at the tram station. I finally did a bit of digging on the net and it would appear that EA (in their infinite wisdom) decided that the game would auto save once per mission, and not at all in side missions. It's not that I'm doing it wrong. That's how EA actually intended this game to be experienced. There is NO manual save option, other than to save one's inventory. I'm sorry, EA, but I dont actually have 2 frickin hours at a time to play your game. I have other things to do in my life.

Stupid, stupid, STUPID game design ruining an otherwise very fun game in a good franchise. I am done with dead space 3 until they patch it.

An act of foolishness worthy of GW.

MiJ is grumpy today
I know your feeling i was stuck on the Snow monster you will encounter later, i tried it a zillion times, so i think reload the save, get another weapon , just that the save puts me in the beginning of the boss battle again. had to replay the level just to get to the workbench before the battle so i could built a more appropriate weapon. :( Been playing Hotline Miami and that game is fun, even dying a zillion times per level :P

Oh finished my magnetized Left & Right shoulder armor for my leviathan crusader, and worked a little on my old metal land speeder pilots also been busy magnetizing some of the weapon mounts of the Land speeders!

@AGP- looove the beetle back titans. Happy memories. I remember we built Ork Gargants out of plastic easter eggs.
I knocked around Osu for a spell before a company meeting. Got some paint and bits. Spotted a set of Star Wars curtains and matress covers in an "antique" shop. Almost cried in geeky nostalgia.
Been playing with Grey stuff. Nice, very nice. Sculpts like green stuff with a pinch of Milliput thrown in. Not as stretchy as Green, so that makes tool marks a bit more noticable if not careful, but it does not have green stuff's "memory" so it stays in the shape you sculpt it to. The neutral grey color makes it easy to see what you are doing. It is a bit sticky to get out of the wrapper, but a minor problem. Almost impossible to do anything with it for the first 5 minutes or so after mixing, more so than greenstuff, but be patient and it's great.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

Righty - this evening was much better than previous ones, as both kids obligingly slept, and I decided to try and paint a bit. I managed 4 whole jetbikes worth of dark grey before my airbrush clogged. Again. This time, however, fueled by a friendly bottle of booze and some Alestorm on the stereo, I set about really cleaning that bugger. Not just stripping it down to the component parts and blasting acetone through it (which is what I usually do) but actually properly scrubbing out the internals and so on.

Seriously, I had no idea. I mean, heck, it's not like I skimped on cleaning it before. But you.would.not.believe. the crap that I liberated from inside that airbrush. You could dump it in the ocean and call it an archipelago.

So, I am going to operate on the assumption that when I come to do my last jetbike tomorrow, my newly cleaned airbrush will be like unto the airbrush of the gods, laying down baby-bum smooth blends with nary a splutter nor a splatter in sight.

Here's hoping...*fingers crossed*

Worked on some Dredd Fatties. They are big, meaty buggers with resin bodies, not too dissimilar to the weeble toys which ageing forum members may have owned as children. I decided to give them a certain theme, which befits their commitment to obesity, and which residents of Japan would appreciate. When they are finished I'll post them here.

Did the base decoration on a bunch of models. Gonna spray 'em up later this morning.

Edit: Ended up finishing up a unit of Iron Warriors - I guess I needed a bit of a break from all them historicals.

Finished these fellers for Dredd. Possibly a team of competitive eaters from Hondo-City. May tart them up a bit here and there but more or less finished.
If the theme isn't apparent, I've failed miserably!
