Re: What did you do today.
Painted some tiny horsies brown, and carefully separated some tiny space marines into little boxes depending on what kind of formation I'm going to make out of them. The latter was an extremely kichoumen experience, I have to say.
Feel free to call me Dave!
Re: What did you do today.
This is the busiest period for our school, so full schedules and drained energy for me. No painting impetus, but perhaps this weekend will see some progress on something. This morning I received some nice mats from Mantic, post free - made for the Deadzone game (which has been getting some decent feedback in its own right). The mats are 2 foot square and fit together nicely. They are backed with rubber, and have a mouse matty quality to them. I got four of them. They are ideal for sci-fi skirmish and beat the daiso grey felt I had been considering to represent tarmac. Picture below with backing turned up for the curious.
Also started the first Mass Effect on my PS3. I played this first installment through before, some years ago on the xbox 360, but I now hope to get through all three, import an increasingly bad ass character into each new game and enjoy the story arc.

Re: What did you do today.
Today my wife was sick, so I spent most of my evening taking care of one boy or t'other. I managed a smidge of painting later at night, tho, and have now done the beige bits on my bikes and tanks. Hopefully tomorrow I can get the underpainting done on the tanks and tidy up the jetbikes a bit. Once that's done, all that should be left is panel lining and gems. (gemsgemsgemsgemsmoregems. This is eldar we're talking about, here...

@Lovejoy - I havent played ME1, but I did play ME2 and thought it was ace. There's a lot of good ME1 story summary stuff in that game, too. 's quite clever - the story is told by means of an interactive comic. Decisions you make while reading it carry through into ME2. Sure, it's nowhere near the same as playing the actual ME1 game, but I thought it was a nice touch to let people customise the story at that early stage

Re: What did you do today.
I did the first member of a new Judge Dredd force . I've decided to do a squad of Citi Def Jaegers.
This bloke will be the squad leader.
The squad hails from Bob Holness Block and are veterans of many block wars, and have earned the nickname of Block - Busters.

Re: What did you do today.
Very lovely work again.
My Citi Def are in the post. Block War! Bob Holness Block fits right in, too.. Not only a reference to something British, but an 80s/90s one at that. Full marks.
I want to run a regular soldier or two in mine at least, just for the trigger happy rule which means they take a will check to prevent themselves from shooting the nearest friendly or enemy target.
@MiJ, good to hear that ME2 is a winner too..the first was great, but I don't remember it well, so looking forward to revisiting it. I think I managed to romance a blue coloured lady in it, and make space love. Which is reason enough to recommend it. Ban this sick filth. Will no one think of the children?

Re: What did you do today.
@lovejoy ah, that would explain the blue lady's reaction to me in ME2...
The way I played ME2, the trip to the big ol' final encounter at the end was an interesting one for Mr. Shepherd. Seems to like his ladies brightly coloured...

Re: What did you do today.
not much to report today. Did some more work on the jetbikes. Panel-lined them with oils, glazed em with Tamiya clear, brush-painted em with VMA. Odds n sods, really. I need to find a way to do the gems quickly. If I can do that, the rest of the army should go smoothly. I'm also a bit torn as to how to proceed with the riders. Do I go mid/dark/lights or do I go dark/mid/brush on armour plates? The latter may actually be faster in the long run. What to do, what to do...
At this rate the chances of me finishing the army in time for Naghammer are not good. Heck, the odds of me finishing the bloody jetbikes in time are not good

Re: What did you do today.
Had a productive morning of greystuffing evil monsters for the Madmiral and a mellow afternoon watching a pile of Batman: The Animated Series with my little girl.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....
