Finished my Arcane Tempest Gun Mages the day before yesterday and re-packed my Battlefoam transport last night. Will work on and finish a couple Stormsmith Stormcallers tonight.

Re: What did you do today.
Today I travelled to Pikey's secret lair and played a couple of games of 40K. My Space Wolves (actually, they are Pikey's now as I traded them with him), Vs. Purple Pervs of Slaanesh. The first, 1500 point game came down to the wire and resulted in a draw on objectives. After lunch we played a 2000 point game where the Wolves managed to get their act together and claim one of the objectives on the last turn of the game for a hard fought victory.
Both games were a harsh reminder that I need to refamiliarise myself with the rules before Golden Week.
So thanks to Pikey for two good games and for only using the Heldrake in one of them.

As I am moving next week again, humorously, the landlord gave me the keys to the side door. So I can go into my new place as I like. but no power, gas or any other things and the front door is off limits. talk about funny

There aren't minis for those two, are there? I'm planning a 2,000-point army over the next four months, so I'll take a look at their equipment.Primarch wrote:@AGP - Nice looking Huron and Valthex minis. Are you going to bother with Captain Sumatris or Arch-Centurion Commodus?
Today I put some varnish on my GIs, so once that dries they can be based. I also put the first layer down on my Sherman.
Re: What did you do today.
Started on some East Meg Judges on the Friday holiday, which hopefully will get finished over my Sun/Mon weekend. The force includes a Sov robot, a Sentoid, but will probably need pinning and green stuffing. We'll see how my modelling chops hold up.
On another topic, I was looking at 40k again. Although it's looking unlikely I can prepare anything before Naghammer for that, I'll try - I wondered if anyone can advise on drop pods for 40k. Is it essential to assemble them with opening doors? I'd be grateful for any pointers, as it seems some players do and some don't.

It's not essential, no. They get in the way more of ten than not.Lovejoy wrote:I wondered if anyone can advise on drop pods for 40k. Is it essential to assemble them with opening doors?
No, there aren't any official models, but as they are both just marines, you can probably kit bash them together easily enough. I was using Commodus today actually. For 105 points he's not too bad in smaller games. In bigger games he doesn't really hit that hard. Outside of a Tyrant's Legion list he probably isn't so good as his main benefit is making Retaliators a Troops choice.AndrewGPaul wrote:There aren't minis for those two, are there?
