Well, tanks / anti-tank guns
are probably your best bet for taking care of dug-in infantry at range, since they can actually blast through the bulletproof cover. Infantry'll probably have to assault them.
@Badruck - The main weakness of using a tank-heavy force against an infantry-heavy force is that you're likely going to be badly outnumbered. Add to this the fact that a tank's main gun is designed to kill other tanks rather than infantry (they're like lascannons in this regard) and you're simply going to have trouble taking out as much of the enemy as you need to. They may have trouble taking you out, too, of course, but if you want to shift infantry you really want machine-guns and artillery.
Flames of War really does reward playing a fairly realistic mixed-arms force - you'll note that even the armored company boxed sets do include some infantry in 'em.
