@ Spevna: Very impressive. Brings scenes of District 9 to my mind. (That and unfortunately Bad Boyz 2. Ughhh)

@ Mij: Keep it up!

Today I put some decals on my Panards and I also went back and continued work on some DA models.

I had my morning class cancel on me, so I managed to get some painting done. I put some varnish on my Celts, put another layer on my Sherman, did the tracks on an IG Hellhound and painted some loincloths on some Zulus. Plus I got paid for it! :D

I'm currently in a place near Ise. Kinda a gigantamungous ornamental garden. It's nice n all, but these trips with the students get old fast. It's blooming tiring always keeping your game face on. As y'all know, I'm a miserable bugger in real life, but when you have to stay all happy teacher for 48 straight hours, it kinda sucks the soul out of you. I even have to share a room with the vice principal, so no letting the mask slip even in the evening :(

PTA meetings at school yesterday, no afternoon classes. After I did my yoroshikuonegaishimas for the parents, I got a productive hour and a half of bolting and riveting my old Trukk. Still need to rig up a harpoon gun for it. I got in a less than productive hour of sculpting in when I got home. Working on a right foot, and it has not turned out as well as the left. I'll cut the toes off tonight and try again.

@JH- That tank in the middle is the one with like 20 piggy-looking crewmen right? I forget what it's called. Seen it at the local model shop, but forget what it's called. Looked like fun, but I was never sure what size it was exactly. Looks just right for a Russ.

Tonight I stopped by Yellowstreak's place again for another pick up game. I brought over my DA DW force of the Angels of the Lionblade and we played at 1500 points.

We also decided to try out the scenario as described for the NagHam event.

Image
The game went in my favor with my army somehow, kind of bumbling into a 5-1. I captured the central objective for 3 points, my side's objective and slew the canoness for Slay the Warlord. YS had First Blood. Overall, we both destroyed most of each others' forces.

Some notable things:
• I made a couple of 4+ invulnerable saves on Balial that made all the difference. It could have been an easily 2-2 game, otherwise.
• The poor sisters really struggle in close combat to wound marines.
• Watching two surviving devastators punch their way through a squad of sisters. The DA inflicted 5 wounds. YS missed five 3+ armor saves. Ouch!
• The jump-pack sisters' character is pretty awesome.
• Forests and patches of difficult terrain can be your bane. The trees pretty much trapped the sisters so my two squads of terminator's could catch them in close combat. On the other hand I was generally lucky and making pretty good terrain rolls. Making difficult terrain rolls can sometimes be the difference between success and failure, I guess.
• Oh, and if you want to play quickly, you shouldn't socialize too much. :D

Thanks, YS! It was a lot of fun.
