This evening I managed almost 3 hrs of painting*, which cracked along at a good pace, accompanied by some children of bodom. I've almost finished the armour plates of the corsair captain, which is always the annoying bit of painting Eldar (well, that n the gems). I just need to do 2 arm plates and his backpack tomorrow, then I can start on stuff like his gun, pointy stick and various fiddly bits like runes, gems, buttons etc.

*could probly do more, but my eyes are getting a bit squiffly. Time for bed, methinks.

Tonight I finished off my Sherman with some Tamiya weathering powders. I also put a brown wash on my Zulus.

First 500 points of Astral Claws are nearly done - just got to do the bases then a final matt varnish. I'd forgotten how desperately annoying it is to put decals on Space Marine shoulder pads.

Assembled a squad of Assault Centurions as part of May's 500 points (three of them, a Command Squad and a Razorback).

I've also got the transport sorted for my Elysians:

That's a lot of Valkyrie! Will be impressive to see it on the gaming table.

I found out that with over 120 painted miniatures I don't have enough for next Sat and the dreaded feeling that I won't make it on time has started

Had a great day of gaming with Lovejoy, Konrad, and Big Daddy Grim.

Got in a game of Judge Dredd where Judges and Punks joined forces to fend off an invasion force of East Meg Judges. The big scary Sov robot was all bark and no bite, and soon ended up as a pile of smoking scrap.

Talisman was an epic game of never ending weapon and gold grabbing, but with no clear winner by the end. Was great fun though.

Lots of beer, bourbon, and chu hi was quaffed too.

Another great day of gaming :)

Quaffing chu-hai? :D

I got in a couple of games of Bolt Action today, both of which were draws. No painting unfortunately, but I should be able to make some progress tomorrow.

Thanks to Spevna and Konrad for Dredd shenanigans! I was hoping for a better show from the Sovs, but bad decisions from myself, poorer Judge skills and unlucky dice rolls meant that my East Meg contingent were comprehensively schooled, by Konrad's Mega City team of Vet and rookie Judges in particular.

As mentioned, the scary looking Senetoid death robot, flamethrower, street cannon, lethal electrocuting arms and all, was swiftly neutralised. Konrad didn't even have to say 'Armour Piercing', such was the contempt displayed. Standard Execution rounds turned it into a molten slag...unbelievable. I still think the thing could be potentially horrendous, but today..nah, not so much.

Spev's Spiro Agnew blockers added insult to injury, shotgunning one particular Sov Judge ragdoll style into the path of Konrad's Cadet, said Sov judge was then shot at about six times before succumbing to the fatal round. No arrest checks today, this was war. Thank goodness that type of cold war emnity doesn't exist any more in these more enlightened times.

Andy appeared later with Talisman for a marathon session. No conclusion reached, one character died in jail, his replacement toaded, all the craziness usual in between. No winner as said, but the journey is more important than the destination. Great day, thanks all!

Today I had two games of BA. They were both very fun.

As for painting, I was able to work on some tactical marines that are being painted in the scheme of the Angels of Redemption. I also was able to continue work on my French 75s.
