Not to worry Miguel - if some of your dudes are unpainted I will be more than happy to play against them. I'm barely scraping 1000pts myself, so if I get placed with no team met I'm bollixed. It's all about the meeting n greeting anyway - painted armies is just sparklies on the cake :)

I'm cool for the smaller games it's just that taking advantage of the date I wanted to paint as much as possible and delight everybody with a Krieg Horde!
I'll drown you all in Imperial blood, I have more bodies at my disposal than you bullets  !

Didn't realise how tired I was. It has been a long time since I had a decent stretch of days off, so the lion's share of the day was spent dozing. Found time to write a couple of Home Guard lists for BA, and drink some tea..that's about it.

@miguel - well, my list for 1000pts has 27 minis in it, so I reckon you're pretty safe with the whole drowning-us-in-bodies side of things. But, my guys are all elves, and therefore cooler than yours 8-) :D

iiiiiiin other news, I am actually so far ahead with my captain I'm almost confident in saying he'll be finished in time for Naghammer! I just have to do his gun, halberd haft and face. And stick him to his base, but the base itself is probly 60-70% done.

We may just be able to pull this off lads... :?

Ps @lovejoy - yehup. Kids'll do that. Don't expect it to get easier soon, neither. One piece of advice I have is: kids love routines, even tiny chibis. If you want that babby to sleep at night and give you some peace, take him to bed at a set time every night, preferably after a specific thing that he'll recognise (eg bathtime). You'll get screamy hissy fits the first few nights but eventually bath-->bed-->lie in the dark while dad tells a story-->sleep will become routine and the fighting and resistance will disappear.

Good luck, soldier *salutes snappily*

Cheers MiJ, he's a pretty well behaved nipper at this stage really. We are generally a bit tired all the time, but now he only wakes a couple of times a night. The routine thing is certainly true! We've been training him to do certain things at certain times, he knows the score now, and a schedule has helped us understand what he wants when he wants something. Thank you x1000 Gina Ford (baby scheduling guru), she knows what she's on about..

Yesterday I finished the painting work on my Zulus and this morning I got some sand glued down to their bases. If I can get the bases painted this evening I should be able to get them flocked and finished entirely tomorrow.
Only a couple more days to go to NagoyaHammer and I have one mini to finish up for my army with some icons and a couple of small details. Then it is on to trying to get everything packed...

Today I went up to Nishi Ogaki and played two games of Bolt Action with Col. Voss, who I must say is looking a lot better and sounding a lot more cheerful than he was a couple of months back. Obviously changing jobs has beed good for him. I drew a game and lost a game, but I had a good time chatting with Voss.
After I got home I did some work on the bases of my Zulus and a bit of work on my Hellhound. A good day all round.
