I finished buying almost all of my supplies today for the upcoming IG project. Annoyingly, I couldn't find any single online shop with *all* the stuff I wanted (in stock at least), so I had to split purchases between a few different stores. Not a big deal really, and the postage still came out less than what it would be if I bought from US stores and imported everything.

There were also a couple of things I wanted to buy from the GW Japan store (tape measure in inches, scatter dice, templates), but I think I'll wait until the new rulebook comes out in a few weeks. No sense paying for shipping twice.

9 specialist Judges (2 robotic), and 2 lawmasters basecoated and given an initial ink wash. They're coming together..a couple of layers and they should be ready to go.
Played a game called The Last Testament of Sherlock Holmes on the PS3, that I had forgotten I had.The pace makes a change, it's first person, but basically a thoughtful investigative game with some nice puzzles that demands to be played with a mug of tea and some nice biscuits close to hand. Makes a change from dodging bullets or taking an arrow in the knee. Getting old, clearly.

The Edelweiss looks cool. The second tank is ok, but the main gun looks like it should be mounted higher in the hull if the vehicle ever hopes to move over any rough terrain.

Yeah, it is from some ancient Japanese Anime Movie. I just wanted to keep it original, I think the one who designed it didn't know much about tanks i guess.

The whole reason for Tank hunters was to make cheap tanks without the extra cost of a turret, there is a guy on Dakkadakka who made a nice conversion, putting the cannon in the main turret and a heavy bolter where the Cannon was.

My wife and I went to the local passport office to sort out passports for her and the baby, during which I had ample time, even whilst rocking the nipper to sleep strapped to me in his harness, to read the Dredd/Aliens crossover Incubus on ipad. Quite a successful melding of the two franchises, obviously justice prevailed in the end, but not before scores of Judges had been melted by disfiguring acid or feasted on. Old Stoney Face himself is made of sterner stuff, thankfully. On being told that some alien infested access tunnel is "too dangerous" to enter alone, he simply replies "I'm dangerous." And he is. Satisfying finale with Assault Judges in huge tanks entering the undercity to destroy the alien nest, pretty good stuff.
Anyhoo, passports should be sorted in a week or so, we'll hopefully manage a 10 day holiday to the UK after Obon. Can't wait.
Had a run in the pouring rain, not cold particularly but got a complete soaking. Finished the day with some Judge minis painting while to listening to the ongoing saga of Sterling's SAS and their antics in North Africa on audio book.
