I particuarly enjoyed the Bestiary if you can call it that and the histories. The appendices are worth a look also if you haven't yet. Some really random stuff like how to dress a field wound from a las gun. :) They are written almost like dvd extras.
I'm going to have a read of Rogue Trader next before the new rulebook arrives. I'm wondering how much of the new edition will have the fluff copy and pasted. I wonder if they will rewrite it all again?

@ Prim, are you saying if you order in yen it's free shipping but if you chose GBP you get charged postage. That's mad. I ordered mine in yen. I thought the prices were high but reasonable when clicking to yen actually. Mainly because of the free postage.
Ordering a single pot of paint from the UK is stupidly expensive. Order from 'Japan' and it's free ver 10,000 yen. But my non-delivery notice definitely says Shipped from the UK.

I ordered a Venomthrope from GW Japan a month or two back and it was delivered from the UK too.

Recent Astra Militarum (can't we just say Guard) codex I ordered was also from the UK.

So...I have an entire 2 days off with only myself to please, while my wife is visiting her folks with young Louis. I miss them of course, but I am enjoying a punch-the-air-woo-hoo-type sentiment due to precious me time in abundance for the first time in a long while. I could get quite a lot done in terms of unwatched TV, movies, painting, assembling and so on. The only downside is that I have no idea where to even start...

I ordered my book last night from Ring Tail. I won't get the book until June 10th, but then again I am in no hurry. The other upside from giving at least some of the proceeds to an independent retailer is that Membership at Ringtail kicks back 5% in points for future purchases there.

I also painted for about 40 minutes tonight.

Stuff from the old GW Japan was being sent from the UK for the last year or so. I think in their wisdom GW decided to centralize all shipping. The new site seems to have streamlined this.
This must be a first for GW, a sensible business decision. Whatever next?

As for the actual subject of the thread, in the last wee while...

I have sold a whole crap load of stuff on eBay.

Got back to what I really enjoy painting i.e. Scantily clad female elves

Finally put some paint on my Ngapuhi Toa for my NZ wars project.

Did some work on my Fledgling Space Wolves army.

Was chosen, as one of the early backers of the project, to be one of the first to use the pledge manager and order my 'Toughest Girls in the Galaxy' from Raging Heroes.

Worked on my top secret scenery project.

Worked on my Top secret gaming project.

Got my copy of the new Wolfenstein game. Nothing particularly new in the FPS genre but it's set in one of my favourite SF/Fantasy settings i.e. Weird World War 2 so much will be forgiven.

Happy to hear those Raging Heros figs will be going out. I will be getting a unit or two to keep the Stuntie Battalion smiling.
Have not been in the mood to paint or sculpt or anything.....so I cleaned my tool box and got things tidied up.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

Box of delights and painting surely. A Bridge too Far and some Bolt Action minis?

@Ashmie, ah, you know me well! Although Box of Delights should be saved for Christmas. Very close to that prediction though I reckon, I was thinking World at War (the award winning documentary series, not the game) on DVD as it doesn't require constant watching of the images, while I do some painting. Maybe look at what can be assembled that's still on the sprue, to reduce space a bit.
As an aside, I got a multiregion, multi system DVD player recently (ooh, Mr Fancypants). It was a pain to watch my UK DVDs before but now I finally have something that plays my collection on my big telly. I have never swum in a bath of delicious chocolate, but doubt it matches the sense of pleasure.

And lo, Alexander wept, for there were no more worlds to conquer...

Cool! I had trouble finding one of those in our local store. That's great. :)
I've had a morning of 80s TV. Dungeons and Dragons season 4, it's dark! Venger summons Satan. Or he who must not be named. Just finished The A Team and might go for a hike. Yeah take a hike bud. :)
