@Spev - Nice looking piece of kit.

Today I did some more work on some Ashigaru and got my current batch of IG done. I need to add some varnish to one of the minis, but aside from that I now have 20 painted and based Catachans. I also added some paint to a few Malifaux figures.

It looks awesome. Shame on GW for not supporting it more. Mind you, doing it professionally would probably cost a gajillion mega bucks.

Got some work done on some Scourge for DZC. The dead simplicity of the paint scheme is helping me overcome my painting malaise a bit.

Gah. Spent the later part of the day assembling those (insert expletive here) drop pods. Couldn't quite get them squared away. There are five, so after the first test pod was completed I decided to do the next four production line style. Progress hard to gauge but I think 66% done. Never again!
Watched another instalment of hallucinogenic tots TV show In the Night Garden with my son. Had another 'What the...' moment watching it, but can understand the appeal more. Unwanted side effect is that the wretched songs are etched in my brain and I keep singing to myself about Iggle Piggle and Makka Pakka.
Earlier I had a haircut and picked up some hobby bits and pieces, Tamiya matt sprays, more simple green for stripping and some Tamiya weathering gubbins. The latter are really great products especially.
Hope you all had a good day and weekend.

Planned to finish up painting a ram for my Diggatruck, but the aforementioned ram completely and inexplicably disapeared.... So, I made a new one and will paint that bugger TODAY, before it disapears too. Spent too much time wading through the wailing and gnashing of teeth at Dakkadakka. Aparently the new Ork Codex download was put up for sale by accident. A few guys bought it and from what I gather, well maybe not as bad as the Nids. At least there is some cool stuff added.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

I read a bit about the Ork codex too. Dakka Dakka and BoLS folk are incandescent with nerd rage. One recurring vibe is that GW seem to want it to be a really assaulty army, but haven't given them the tools. Early days though isn't it. Hope it isn't as toofless as they think.

So, basically the same as with any change to a codex or rules then?

I think it's actually a permanent state of affairs for them. :D
