Seriously, a couple of standard conference tables will give you a 6'x4' gaming table. You can keep a 3rd folded up out of the way somewhere if space allows. The problem will be where to stash the scenic boards etc. If I had thought of it before I made them I would have made my 'Colonial/Frontier town' boards to fit on a set of under table shelves and vice versa. Unfortunately I am not that clever

I found using pencilrulerpaper software really useful when I was setting up the gaming table in my secret base. It didn't require any set up or time spent learning how to use it. Best of all you can get free from yourdesk.com

I, too, would recommend the one which allows more space to move around. I think comfort is the way to go.

My gaming table... Which is currently occupying half my kitchen is a non standard 5 by 4, but always good to go!

I recently got 2 very similar to this:-
http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/aw/d/B001P2T ... +180+60+70
Just like MtP says. Foldable tables, the likes of which we've all see in Japanese cultural centres and schools etc. One is stored in the cupboard with no fuss, the other is permanently present in my hobby room with painting bits and bobs. The idea is that together they can make a 6' x 4'. Highly recommend this idea!

Wow, the threadomancy is strong today.
And honestly, I'd avoid those folding tables. Unless lower back pain is your thing, in which case they are perfect. Ideally you want something closer to the height of a kitchen counter.
