Extreme Sculpts

Post by Primarch » Thu Jul 29, 2010 10:32 pm

Is there any difference in rules etc for the "Extreme ......" models? I have seen the Extreme Juggernaught in the Khador books and whilst it is obviously a bigger model, are there any reasons to buy one except for the coolness factor?

Nope, for coolness alone. And now, with the "models on X base size all have volume Y" rule, there's no longer a penalty for fielding 'em!

I would like to have one for my retribution army, they are really nice miniatures but heavy. I think they are also difficult to assemble, the Deathjack of my wife was complicated and it is not so big as these miniatures.

The deathjack is a bugger to assemble, but its still easier than the leviathan. One day, PP will realise that while tiny pointy legs look cool, they are a right pain in the arse to attach to bases...

Re. Extreme sculpts: buy it. That sculpt alone almost sold Khador to me. If you're going to play the Big Bad Warjack faction, then get the Biggest Baddest Warjack you can. Personally, as and when I migrate to Hordes (as we all, inevitably, will) I plan on playing Trollbloods and getting the extreme Dire Troll. Extreme sculpts rock.

Dat's my two cents, anyway.

oh nice, and its resin to boot, I may well have to get into hordes as well. ...its not fair, why are the menoth warjacks the lamest looking jacks in the game? We need new sculpts pronto.

as for primarch planning on starting cgynar, would you like to take a look at the cgynar book as well? I might also have some cgynar pieces that I probably won't be using if you are interested. e.g storm lance cavalry, grenadier, centurion, precursor knights

Sure, sounds good. Though I wasnt planning on starting Cygnar just yet, if you have some you want to offload we can probably sort something out.
