What did you do today.
Re: What did you do today.
Those look great Jus, it's uniformly excellent- but funnily enough I like the rocky parts best, shading looks subtle.
Inking and painting Space Wolves for tomorrow. They are coming along but a fair way to completion. Probably alright to play with though. Hope the weather clears up.

Thanks guys! I`ve been hard at work with all sorts of 40k stuff. More to come!
@prim: Sure is,Your powers of observation do you much credit. the shaft is an empire greatsword, and the hilt is from a regular powersword. It was fiddly attaching both pieces to a space marine fist, but the results are quite satisfactory.
The Veritas pattern Astartes long sword, forged with midianite ore in the foundries of the black templars capital ships. Sacrificing the raw brutal biting action of the standard chain weapon, the long sword, being no less lethal, compensates with a design more suited to the thrust and parry of one on one dueling. A weapon befitting for a Knight templar!

@jus: Nice work mate. It's just a pity they are merely more of the running dog lackeys of the Corpse Emporer and not something interesting
Does this mean we might see you at a gaming event sometime soon?

Re: What did you do today.
Yesterday- Whilst youtubing an old episode of Midsomer Murders (cosy show for middle-aged audience about a series of improbable weekly slayings in sleepy English country setting), I highlighted half of my grey hunters/longfangs/hq, half still to do. Hope to square the rest away today before it becomes a chore.
Checked out info about the new Space Wolves codex, it sounds like HQ costs dropped, some fun things lost and other changes are reasonable, overall nothing to worry about, although some feel it's a tad blander.
Arr Jim-lad! Read over a great ruleset I bought several years ago and brought back from the UK- Warhammer Historical's Legends of the High Seas. It's based very noticeably on LOTR strategy game and Rick Priestley's Legends of the Old West game, and covers all manner of non-fantasy, but slightly Hollywood piratical shenanigans including ship-to-ship combat and campaigns. The production values are terrific, and it's very inspiring stuff. Plus, characters can own Monkeys. A shame it's not played - one day it will be, oh yes..Another one for the 'to-do-one-day' list.

Worked on some hills and buildings and stuff. Tried to resist plastic PHR for Dropzone - succeeding so far, but I can feel my will weakening. I... might have made an army list based on the plastics and priced it out.
Feel free to call me Dave!

If you go PHR I'll probably weaken myself and go Resistance. But I'm going to hold off on purchasing until I'm out from under my current DSC models and Napoleonics. The Other Dave wrote:Worked on some hills and buildings and stuff. Last night I only put a bit of gloss varnish on the models to seal the decals.

Re: What did you do today.
Ah, don't worry about it. If I get a second army it would basically be a painting / ability-to-demo project. (That said, apparently the Resistance will have 2 lists, one of which is supported by the UCM, so you could probably use some of the models you've got to bulk them out.) Also, it looks like Shaltari will be a bit cheaper in dollars, plus not require me to anal-retentively magnetize all the vehicles and dropships, which is a bonus...job wrote:If you go PHR I'll probably weaken myself and go Resistance.
