What did you do today.
Re: What did you do today.
Yesterday I built a trio of new crisis suits. I really like those models.
Today I primed a big pile of new bits and bobs for new models, as well as my tankbustas, meganobs, and deff dread.

I spent most of my time today getting my current batch of minis finished. 20 Ashigaru painted and just in need of basing to be ready for the tabletop. Next in the queue.... more ashigaru and some samurai.

Strange, i have the shock troopers and the leviathan's those are spiffy.Primarch wrote:Today was mainly spent working, but I did manage to assemble a few samurai minis after I came home.
Currently I am using Perry Bros and Wargames Factory minis for my samurai army and I have to say that one of the two is absolute dross.
Perrys SUC.... Kidding.
Wargames Factory's samurai range is dreadful. The details are barely noticeable on a lot of the surfaces, the minis don't fit together well at all and there are no instructions, so you are left trying to figure out which of the twenty arms go with which of the other twenty to make a pose that can actually hold the correct weapons. Top it off with the fact that the spear shafts are too wide to go into the minis hands without bending the thumbs out of the way and then bending them back AND that the plastic used to make the minis doesn't work well with polystyrene cement (bits fall off constantly) and you can see why I am on here ranting. Grrr!!!![]()
Lesson learnt. Perry minis or nothing from here on in.
Here's the progress on me Steam Jet bike, not jet sure what color i will make the jet wash

@J-R - I have some shock troops too, but they really are just a poor guard substitute. No real detail on them. The Leviathan was made by Wargames Factory, but it wasn't designed by them. Same thing for the Eisenkern troopers that go with it. I think that WF are getting better, I've heard people saying positive things about their new AWI range, but their sculptors had a slow learning curve before this.

I had a spare hour or so at work today so I snapped a few pics of my terrain with my Rogue Trader beakies and orks :-* :-*
Please excuse the poor excuse for a panoramic shot. It is a shocker lol lol

Re: What did you do today.
I'm still job hunting, but pickings are very slim at the moment. Again, if any of you guys and girls have heard of anything on the work front..yoroshiku ne..
Hobby wise, still finishing off those bloody Space Wolves. The rule seems to be that the last 15% you have to do takes 50% of the time expended thus far. Probably should have gone with Necrons instead.
Those Spevna orks and marines from the original RT box sets make me sigh whistfully. Lots of the orks look familar..and I had a beaky red and yellow marine scheme back in the day, complete with not-very-good chapter name of my own making. Love the Heinz boxes, and the Rogue Trooper wanted sign. I hadn't registered them before!
This nostalgia made me think of an image from the RT book. The setting has evolved in lots of exciting ways, but I liked that the ex-marine merc scummers represented in the image below could exist in the 40k world once upon a time.
