@prim - nice work, mate! Especially that painted tank. Those transfers really make it work (and I mean that in a good way. There's an art to using transfers properly, and you've done em right.)

@spev - and a happy birthday to you, mate. Gomen - facebook told me it was your birthday, and I thought "ah, happy birthday, Spev", I just completely failed to get around to actually saying so. :?
Anyway - good luck wi the painting project. So much historicals...

As for me, I am kinda back into the swing of things in japan again. Still havent painted owt. In fact, I need to really give my painty room a kick in the arse before I start on anything. As long as I can get it sorted in time for my infinity stuff arriving I should be OK. Incidentally, fings I bought while in scotland include:

the 7th ed 40k rulebook (for 37quid! I was well chuffed with that)
the as-yet-unrealesed new infinity newbie starter box (operation ice storm)
a box of malifaux oiran (which I have wanted for ages and got at a very nice discount.)
some scenic stuff like grass and shrubs and whatnot
a set of paint racks that will hold 144 pots of paint and cost 21quid. They're just laser cut MDF, but it looks nice and does the job very well.
a few odds and ends like paint and whatnot

I also recently watched:
Captain America 2 (very good. highly recommended. best line: "The path of the righteous man...")
Amazing Spider Man 2 (pretty good, but mostly for the scenes with Peter and Gwen, and that bit at the end that i wont talk about here.)
X-men futures past (very good, albeit the "future" scenes were a bit too much "toooomaaaaanyeeeeeeeexxxxxxmeeeeeeenn" for me. Most of the movie is set in the 70s, though, so not a major problem. I'd recommend it, overall.
current (2019) hobby interests
eh, y'know. Stuff, and things

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

Today I cut off the dust cover of my Farsight Enclaves book and framed it.

m_e_j cap2 and Xmen were enjoyable movie i am looking forward to seeing "defenders of the galaxy"

Painted my steambike some more, too bad the fine 3d printing lines are visible on the base.
Also painted some on my infinity nomad squad but not enough to warrant a picture.
Looking around in my house i found some void squad boxes (one with a Vasa squad and one with the Japanese inspired squad) thinking of converting them for necromunda/40K

Catching up on lots of reading. Close to finishing a 1000 page biography of Lovecraft that had taken almost 4 years to read. Also The Rats in the Walls.
No painting. I think I've lost the bug for good. I keep thinking of where to go on holiday and what to watch on TV. Can't force it I guess. Maybe when it's cooler :?

Been chock-full of cold this week. It's hard to paint when you are coughing constantly. Still a lot of work to do on that samurai/ashigaru unit before the weekend.

#edit# - I was feeling a bit better this afternoon, so I got in a couple of hours painting on the aforementioned samurai. They aren't done yet, but they're progressing nicely. I have to get all the painting work finished by Friday evening so that I can base them on Saturday and have the glue/paint dry in time for Sunday's game.

Get better, Prim. We don't want you giving Komura-san the plague. :D Good to hear you are feeling better and slaving away on those models.

I've been slaving away a bit on my French Middle Guard and now I am sorting and magnetizing more French line infantry. I have no clue how much I can get done by October.

Well, today I sat down for about 3 hours, listened to the Stereophonics and painted some samurai and ashigaru. I got all the skin tones done, eyes as well. I did some of the lace on the ashigaru and made a fair amount of progress overall. A good days work!

I managed to get a little bit of paint on the French Voltiguers: the jackets, shakoes and cartridge cases.
