Today I went to Kibune in Kyoto with the wife. We woke up 6am, or rather I did because I didnt bother with make up today, and bicycled to Nagoya station. It was a fun day in Kyoto and it was fun to see one more beautiful neighborhood in such a historic city.

As for the hobby, I worked on my Dropzone Commander infantry once I got home.

Some photos of the initial set-up of our Apocalypse game. 7,000 points of Ultramarines attackers against 9,000 points of Astral Claws and Imperial Guard defenders.

@AGP - While the game itself looks great, I am even more in awe of your gaming venue. That looks like a fantastic place to play.

Not quite my local; it's in Stirling, a 45-minute drive away. It's a converted snooker hall.

Looking at the thumbnails, my first reaction to the first picture was "hey, nice terrain!"

Then I realized it was a real place.

Seriously, looks like good fun.

Today I got some white down on the DzC unit I'm working on, a fast (or at least, in the case of the PHR, "fast") dropship and the troops it carries.

Finished up my Triton dropship and its infantry last night. Two units of two walkers plus dropship and I'll be good to go for Joshin.

Had a pretty productive 3 day weekend. Got in quite a bit of sculpting done on the Digga-chicks. Got a couple of faces on them that look quite nearly human! I even started roughing out a couple of Squats with the left-over putty.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

I've had some Bandua MDF walkways for a while - intended for Dredd and 40k - but until now hadn't been able to make them look in any way decent. I'd tried washes and dry brushing, but the results were not great. So, today I tried a new tack which worked out well. Using Tamiya sprays, I did the lot grey, and then used matt sand spray and a more garish yellow more sparingly to make them look a bit weathered. Finally some white for parapet/road markings. It looks a little like sunset in Megacity One, but I'm happy with them!
