@spev: eew :shock:

Today, and this whole weekend, in fact, I got in a good fair whack of painting. So much so that I hope to be able to de-mask* the SSP tomorrow. After that, it'll be regular brushwork time. With luck, it may even be finished by the end of the week. Fingers crossed...

*pulling the masking tape off a longish airbrush project is simultaneously fun as heck and terribly nerve-wracking. Did it come out as expected? Did you miss a bit? Did the tape pull any paint off on the way up? Etc etc. Should be a spectator sport, really :P

Congrats Primarch, hope it isn't a 1DK house :P

Put more Raging heroes ladies together, a little annoyed with some of resin entry points that are set in illogical places, further some air bubbles and flash nothing major.

The Battlefleet Gothic bug bit me again, Putting together some plastic ships that i bought and magnetizing them (the weapon bays) only to notice that the spruces have no weapon batteries on them, so i spent halve of sunday making one and when it is finish, i will try to cast it.

If anyone has BFG stuff for sale, let me know, i will gladly take it of your hands at the next Nagoyahammer.

Very nice Spev! Don't know if I've said it before, but I'm a fan of your very stylistic painting!

@Spev, Well painted as usual. They do make me feel a bit ill though. There's something rubbery and upsetting about them. With their clay pipes and beards, it's like a proboscis monkey has mated with members of wild eyed prog rock band Jethro Tull, and sired a litter of horrors.

After a hard days graft at school for rich kids, came home to cottage pie, english tea and scones. Marvellous. :D

I managed a teeny bit of hobby time this evening, which was spent de-masking, as planned.

More interesting pics to follow, I promise...

Incidentally, the answers to the questions I asked at the top of this page turned out to be: mostly, nope, and dammit, yes. Bloody gold pulled up, as per bloody usual :(

@Spevna- those things have a bit of a Vaughn Bode vibe going. Got any more freaky names in mind? Archie Happypants would go well with Jethro Kinkyboots.
@MIJ- Never mind the miniature, with the right name and artist's statement, you could just about get that snarl of tape in a gallery. "Cosmic Gold Mobius"? no, not quite.....
Got in a teeny bit of sculpting. Strapped a big old automatic in an ankle holster on a Diggachick. I have a couple sprues of 1/32nd scale WW2 equipment. Even at that size, they look dainty and ladylike compared to GW weapons. And got a driver done and ready to paint. I didn't detail the back or finish the legs on that one, so she went pretty fast. Got a couple of Squats to the point I'd call them half done! Someday, I am going to try and make a set in pieces and actually cast them. Someday.
@Underdweller- yeah, read that All Star Batman and Robin....Thanks for the warning......I get the feeling that somewhere between the Dark Knight Returns and it, Frank Miller really, really started hating superheros. I just imagine him saying after the 3 hours he took writing it, "Ha! That'll teach them to stop shoveling money at me for 'effin Batman stories!" Just mean-spirited stuff all the way through.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

@ Prim: Congrats on the house.
@ Spevna: I love the paint job and I want to love the models, but every time I look at the pics I am forced to make a weird face and my chin wants to disappear into my chest.

I've been slovenly this year about hobby stuff. Maybe the fact the north room is chilly at night or I am tired after work, but I've been kind of bouncing between Khrone Daemons and terminators, put aside the Blood Slaughterer to when I can gather the necessary materials and concentration, and assembled a Heldrake I purchased from Ring Tail. (Lovely model despite the GW price.) Last night I worked on adding a little gold and red to 4 models.
