Today I had some Eldar Dire Avenger and Guardian bits lying around and thought how could I make a more badass group of 'Elite' Dire Avengers to act as kind of an honour guard for an autarch. This is the result:

Incidentally, the female eldar on the far right has a sword on her back. These Eldar know how to bring the sling, the swing and the bling!

I am off to visit my Mum tomorrow for a week :) , not back to New Zealand though :( as she is living in Australia. Won't be able to catch up with other family and friends, but it will be warm! :)

@ Koji: I like the conversions. And have a safe trip to the Downunder.

@ Spevna: Well composed and constructed as usual.

Myself, absolutely nothing in the hobby front. I did watch "Soushite Chichi ni Naru" with the wife. It was a touching and good movie. It totally of course doesn't put me in the kind of mood for painting. The truth is I am a bit exhausted by work recently and other things are preoccupying me. But my Heldrake lies primed and ready for painting, so I just have to find the energy. :? That and playing FoW recently has gotten my blood up to paint some tanks, particularly an American Jumbo. =

@spev - noice! I shall look forward to hiding my ladies behind em :)

Today I put Ar-Fienel up on ebay, and set about pimping her on various fora. I've mentioned her on CMoN and WAMP, and will eventually (once admins approve my required posting limit) get a post up about her on BoLS and Warseer, and am awaiting a password reminder for Studio McVey, but if there are any fora that you know of where folk might be interested in such a mini, plz let me know and I will set about posting there. If you can be bothered, like. I appriate that this is nobody's problem but mine, but if y'all are feeling charitable, I'd appreciate any forum ideas you may have.

P.S. :D

Nice additions Spev, the walkways especially are going to give the board even more flexibility and possibilities if we can get even more rooftop access.

Spent the evening watching some old Prime Suspect episodes (grim and gritty classic 90s detective drama starring Helen Mirren) followed by a recent tv show called Utopia (grim and gritty conspiracy theory drama). I probably would have been thoroughly depressed afterwards if I hadn't been enjoying painting the Citi-Def at the same time, which kept me in buoyant mood. They're looking nice, one more sesh should square them away I think. Not sure which block they'll represent...

@ MiJ

Happy New Year to you and yours!
me_in_japan wrote: I was also watching reign of fire with Sean (age 2), because he had been insisting on a "monster film". I tried Monsters Inc, but that just wasnt cutting the mustard. He kept insisting on a "scary monster film". So, I said, "how about a dragon", and he was all like "let's watch a dragon monster film". So, I put on reign on fire. I skipped through all the bits with Christian Bale looking grim (um, about 80% of the film) and we just watched the bits with the dragons flying around burninating/chomping things. There's a scene where some daredevil chaps skydive out a helicopter and whoosh through the air, attempting to catch a dragon in a set of bolo nets. The dragon, of course, eats em. Just after bloke number 1 is snapped up, Sean turns to me and sagely says

"Dad. You have to be careful with dragons. They're dangerous"

I can't help but feel quite proud of having instilled the fundamentals of dragon wrangling in the lad at such an early age. He'll go far, I reckon
Love this story. Been meaning to comment on it for a while but never got round to it (obviously). He seemed pretty quiet when he was over during the summer, but obviously there's a lot going on upstairs for one so young :D

@ Team Nagoyahammer

Wishing you all the best for 2015!

I'm pretty active across the e-warhammerverse these days and I have to say that this PnM thread is one of the most inspiring ones out there!

A wellspring of creativity 8-)

Worked on some support for the Bolt Action Legionnaires...
