Also I should say, Spevna, that those dudes are typically awesome-looking, but I can't stop seeing them as having Little Lord Fauntleroy haircuts peeking out from under their helmets. :D
@Spevna- Love the Citi- Def. So old-school sci-fi. Your big, bright painting style makes everything look simple and comic-bookish, in a good way.
Cheers lads.
In the UK, it's the pudding bowl haircut ;)

They are real nice minis, and an absolute bargain at £8.25 for the lot of them!

@ Auxryn: nicely done. You are just rolling them out now. Keep it up.
@ j-Z: I like the effort in your conversions. I wish I had the patience and skill to do green stuff insignias.

Last night I actually painted for about 30 minutes before bed. more golden yellow.

My second (and last) Marine is all done but for his chapter marking (not hard, but I always get nervous doing it) and the squad markings (waterslide transfers can die in a fire).

Then I'll come back to DzC for a bit. I think I'm going to order a box of plastic 28mm Germans today and get started on Bolt Action too.

Great. Are you planning to order the starter box or just order what you like?

Most lists max out at 6 infantry teams of up to 10 men (we usually use 2-3), 1 junior officer and a bodyguard, 1 mortar, 1 MG team, 1 Sniper, 1 AT team, 1 gun (Howitzer or AT gun), 1 armoured car, 1 tank and then transports if you want them.

I'm going to start out with just a box of the Wargames Factory plastic infantry, get two or three squads painted up for a core of the force, and then expand in bits and pieces as I go on. I've got a pdf of the German army book, and I reckon I'll use that to guide my purchases.

@ ToD: good to hear you have both BA and DZC on your table. Either is a great option.

Worked on even more Golden Yellow on my Heldrake for an hour.

The table is 6' by 4'6 with enough space for even someone of my stature to mlve around it without needing to squeeze past things. A definite step up from my last place. After reading some online advice, I built the table up to a little over 3' tall, about the height of a kitchen worktop. It's easier on the back and better for standing at for a long time.
