Re: What did you do today.
I bought a new lamp for my painting table as my old one threw in the towel yesterday. Hopefully I'll get some actual painting done tonight to celebrate - the Triton and its passengers are *this* close to being done.
Feel free to call me Dave!

If Konrad is our community's modeling genius (which I whole hearted believe), than you are our resident Steve Jobs. That Ork and his uber claw is the iPod of greenskins. Thinking totally outisde of a box.Admiral-Badruck wrote:@ jus. My brain child but the build of the models is all Konrad aka this groups modeling genius!!
Today I travelled Fukui with the in laws. The Echizen coast is both beautiful and delicious. Hopefully there's a chance to paint before bed tonight.

I spent the weekend getting the last of my Planetfall stuff done and then working mainly on my Raven Guard. Still plenty of stuff to do before NagoyaHammer.

Got the Digga-boss ready to paint and put the final touches on a couple of old-skewl Stunties I was putting together as a side project. Sculpted a big, big, bad mohawk on another Digga.
Did a little bit of work on my Naghammer secret project. Muhahaha!
You guys ever use that Tamiya two-part putty? I bought some ages ago in a state of "augh, no greenstuff" desperation. It's really soft and sticky, nearly impossible to get off the plastic backing and generally useless for sculpting.
But I did find a couple uses for it. Makes a nice gap-filler/leveler. Sometimes when you use Milliput, it will lift off as it's not that sticky. Especially, if you are not careful and some water gets under it while smoothing. I also stupidly scratched a tiny, tiny stud off a glove while burnishing around it. Sometimes tiny, tiny bits of green or grey stuff won't stick, especially if it's after a while and is starting to cure a bit. You'll manage to blob a bit on, and then it will come loose while you push it around and trim it up. This stuff is sticky enough that you don't have t0 worry about it. Always nice to make a little discovery.

Got a couple of scratch built Stunties all primed up. They turned out just a little smaller than I intended. I plan to "scale creep" them up a little bit next time I try. Not so big that they'll stand out from the originals, just a bulkier about the shoulders and chest and a couple mm taller. Pics when the computer is not being a pita. grrrrr
