me_in_japan wrote:@DE>A : that's a vanilla craftworld ship, actually, not DE. It's a crimson hunter, I think. Or a hemlock. One of the two, anyway. Regardless, if Miguel is gonna rock up to Naghammer with 2 of those plus 2 chibi wraith knights I think we can all just hand him the "winner" badge and go to the pub early...

Ps @ Miguel - what's that rainbow effect on on the cockpit glass? It's rather nice :)

This weekend I went to the beach with the family, saw a goat step out of a Mercedes, made strawberry cupcakes and caught a cold. I also finished off 2 layers of my case for my DE. One more to go, but it's the fiddly one with all wierd shaped things in it :(
Said the person with all those venom weapons in the troops slots ;) Plus while my heavy support is turning your tanks into snail snot, you'll have a field day with the rest of my army.

The flyer is a mix of the two options I didn't like the official no tail Crimson Hunter so I modified it a little bit plus magnetized the weapons.
The hologram effect is a special finishing sheet from hasegawa, I eons away from being able to paint half decent cockpit glass not to say that effect.

PS: I only own one Hemlock/hunter so cannot take two. :P

As I understand it, the wraith knight is now gargantuan, rendering it immune to poison weapons :(

But hey, that's a worry for next time :)

Yikes! That APC looks like it just drove through a slaughterhouse.

Here's the color scheme I'm considering for my guardsmen. Pretty traditional actually. I wanted to keep the number of colors to a minimum since I have so many troops to paint up.

I think I'll go over the helmet one more time to darken it a little.

@dekana - that scheme should work very well. It will, however, look much more effec (for very little effort) if you bung a wash over it to bring out the shadows. Just my two cents :)

Agreed! :) Hit it with a bit of black or brown wash and watch the magic happen! :)

@jehan-reznor Ouch! My eyes hurt! What sort of crazy planet is it where that is camouflage?

Had a day off today to go do parents day stuff at my sons school. Got in a good bit of sculpting this morning. Have a couple of flak-jacket squats better than half-way done!
