What did you do today.
Re: What did you do today.
I worked and after the in laws turned in, I broke out a brush, but honestly I've been just struggling to keep my eyelids open. probably I should let them rest but I've been itching to paint Naps!

Well, my 3 week sojourn in Blighty is drawing to a conclusion..in an airport hotel in Manchester now using lousy wifi. Flight via Frankfurt to Nagoya tomorrow.
It's been a great trip, but always very bitter sweet seeing my family and friends, old haunts, then returning to Japan. You all know the drill. Not that I feel it's the wrong decision at all, to be an ex-pat.
Can't wait to see my boy and wife.
@Ash, we'll shoot the breeze over beers and lotr sometime soon. Hopefully both, eh? Spending time reading isn't a waste of it in my opinion, wish I read more myself.
I should add some hobby just to keep it relevant! Boxes laden with old and hithertoo purchased but unused games are on the way to LJ towers, as well as a my suitcase, which is half full of gaming tat.
Playing hunters a fair bit on ipad, by Rodeo games. Great little game.

Thought I'd take a picture of the status of my own tiny little Napoleonics:

Still a smallish force, but enough for a compact little game of Black Powder or the WH Ancients Napoleonics hack, anyway.

Well done ToD. You must have had them for ages. It's nice to see them all done and dusted.
This morning I continued my work on my British infantry, Lancastrians and terrain. Not a lot to show for it, but everything is moving along nicely.

Re: What did you do today.
It's been a good two or three years since I started painting them, yeah. But they're hardly done, heh - this is about half of all the models I have. Eventually (who knows why) I want to spend the extra 20 bucks I'd need to to collect a whole corps for the WM ancients Napoleonics hack, which means at least 8 units of line infantry plus a bit more cavalry and cannon.Primarch wrote:Well done ToD. Re: What did you do today.
I started assembling my second squad of Germans, plus a captain and a sniper team, and (having replaced the blade on my hobby knife) re-learned the lesson about bad habits formed with a dull hobby knife.

Sculpted some Diggachicks. Watched some koushien. Took a nap. Finished reading "Cloud Atlas". highly recommend it. Both the nap and the book.
