Will be interested to take a look at that Antares.
Got in a bit of sculpting today. One Digga chick is nearing completion actually. Another is just about built, but for the arms and a blob of left over putty has developed into a third.
Did a spot of painting too. Just laying down some flesh base coats on a random handful of Reaper figures.

@AGP - oooh, shiny. Check you with all yer fancy schmancy painted Icestorm.
but really, thats a darn nice job on a darn nice group of minis. One day, mine too shall revel in their painty glory, but for now they languish in metallic ignominy
I salute you, sir.
@Ystreak - oooh, Antares. Like Konrad, I'm keen to see whats in da box. I must try and get up to Nagoya sometime over Christmas.
As for me, recently I have been hard at work on my SSP. Assembly is done, green stuffing is done, and basic undercoats are done. Now for the actual painty bit...
On the peppy side of things, I sold 230 bucks worth of stuff on ebay yesterday! Yay! And hellooooo Dropfleet Commander Kickstarter. My, that's an awfully big battlecruiser you have there...

Re: What did you do today.
I've been pretty unmotivated on the hobby front recently for whatever reason, so yesterday on a whim I bought and made a gundam.

I haven't made a for-real plastic model since probably junior high school - it was oddly relaxing and satisfying. Not sure if it's quite got me back in the painting mood again, but maybe!

Feel free to call me Dave!
Re: What did you do today.
My weekend involved far too much watching TV shows (Rick and Morty) and playing PC games (Mount & Blade: Warband), so I didn't get as much hobby stuff done as I had been planning. I put some more paint down on a couple of Rhinos and did some work on some Reaper Bones minis. I still have sooo much stuff on my workbench.

Re: What did you do today.
Received the Antares box. Smaller than expected, but heavy and packed. The book itself has enough background, without it being the main thrust of things. The rules themselves seem pretty in-depth although not overwhelmingly fiddly, so that aspect looks solid. As expected, there's definitely a very old school feel to the whole thing, from the way RPs fluff is written, to the look of the units (they're almost all humanoids in different alien looking suits, it could be a star trek next generation season in that respect).
I think it'll capture the imagination of older gamers for nostalgia reasons, myself included, but young 'uns weened on steampunk and big robots may feel that things have moved on and not fancy the vibe as much.
I'm happy with what I've read so far though.
Weekend in other respects gobbled up with a birthday celebration (German beer!), cleaning and Louis duties. Ah well. There's gonna be another one along in a few days!

German beer....happy birthday.
On beer related notes, I was at The Taproom last Friday. 5-odd minute walk from Nagoya station. A good dozen + Japanese micros. Swan Lake, Coedo, Baird, have not found a bad beer yet. A bit pricey, but as I'm a lightweight not a problem. Foods good too.
Got in a good rainy day of sculpting yesterday. Down to the finishing touches on da Digga chick. Got a Stuntie just about finished too! Put some ears and boots on another couple.

Re: What did you do today.
The next time I make any noises about using masking fluid of any brand in any way on my minis, I'd be much obliged if someone could come round my house and shout "Oi! Dave! NOOOOOOOOO" really loud in my ear.
This evening was mostly spent cleaning masking fluid off my SSP. Currently half done. Tomorrow's plan: more cleaning.
Epic fail.

Re: What did you do today.
This weekend, I spent 24 hours gaming for charity. I and four others played through an entire Imperial Assault campaign - that's 12 scenarios, back-to-back - in one sitting, followed by a game of Ticket To Ride (with more profanity than I expect the designers ever thought possible) and a few games of Exploding Kittens. You can see some photos here.
After that, I came home and went to bed for nineteen hours straight, then got up and have been spending all today building scenery from 4Ground for Dropzone Commander and Infinity.
