Ps How does one go about getting a British birth certificate for a kid? Both of mine are of course entitled to one, but I'm not sure how to go about it.

I got on for Leila, and it was just a matter of filling out the required paperwork and sending it off. That was 12 years ago though. My brother just got a passport for his son and it was a massive pain in the arse apparently. He was telling me that they've also changed the rules in regards to birth certificates too.

This evening I finished most of the painting on my Bolt Action army, only the Sherman to do now and that is coming along nicely. I still have to do the basing on everything and there is a lot of varnishing to do as there are only 2 minis in the army which are all plastic.

bloody hell. 225 quid for a birth certificate, per child*. I might just sit on that for a bit... :?

*not including costs for official translations of the J-birth certificate and marriage certificates, mind.

Got a game of Blood Bowl in last night with Grim - Le Chevaliers quickly went up 1-0 with an early score, but this seemed to enrage their Dark Elf opponents who then went on an armour breaking rampage and took victory 2-1 after reducing me to 7 players at by the end...!

Then got home to find an early Birthday present. Some preparation for Nagoyahammer - now I'll be able to say my losing is 'by the book'

Thank you for the congratulatory words everyone! It will no doubt impact on games a little. But then being a dad to one boy already did that. I will be playing when I can and dropping here most days to check in, as I already do.
Two boys - one or both of them is bound to want to play something with their old dad, aren't they...? :D

I also got the DVD of 'Episode:7' in the post today from Amazon. I'm not sure I'll be able to make it to Nagoyahammer after all
