These guys had been gathering dust (and half painted) for a while soooo instead of getting ready for Nagoyahammer I finished them off.

Hone Heke and Kawiti leading a band of Ngapuhi Toa to the flagstaff at Kororareka (during the early part of the New Zealand Wars in the 1840s). I'm planning to try out the 'Muskets and Tomahawks' rules with these guys once I get the British done.

Apologies for the camera work.

P.S. @Lovejoy: Now your second sprog has sprung :D , get cracking with those French and Indian Wars chappies, and we can make a date for some black powder era skirmish gaming. ;)

I've finished up my first Emperor's Children squad for my Horus Heresy army, the 30th anniversary Space Marine and a weird Mechanicum chap:

Excellent choice with that anniversary marine mate. I've always wanted to paint both of them.

@agp - all very nice, and yes, RT-tastic colours on that chap.

@all, just FYI, raging heroes are doing a free shipping offer until May 11th, so if anybody fancies some lady IG/Dredd gangers/something pretty to paint, now would be a good time. The voucher code is RHFreeShipMay

Ditto on that AGP model and paint job. It is a great mini.

I've been quieter than usual, meeting my new son and hanging out in Fukui with the other Lovejoys during Golden Week. All is well on that score, but I'm missing them obviously. I'll drive them all back at the beginning of June, after baby George has had his one month check up.

Nagoyahammer was understandably out for me this year, but I ought to make it next time. Looked like a good one despite fewer attending, with some great scenes being played out judging by the snaps. The dino-riding space elves and Valhallans really captured my imagination. The squats are looking amazing these days, Konrad! I swear they're breeding, which is a nice thought. Love the wheelie poses.

Hobby wise, no painting mojo or much opportunity, but I spent about 4-5 leisurelyhours assembling an mdf castle which was easy, since I could watch Netflix at the same time. Love it, although I wish the walls were a bit taller - they're about 9cm, 15cm would be more epic and Helms Deepy. That could be remedied with some foam escarpments to give it height, I'm thinking. On to the 4ground watchtower!

Nice job AGP

Also any Infinity players here?

Kingdom death Monster:
Did my second lantern year hunt, and in the end i had to use my founding stones to kill the lion because the last 2 ai card attacks was such an combination that i was constantly out of reach (the last hit was done by the survivor that was grabbed every other turn)

Nagoyahammer pictures of the event here http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/image ... y%202.html

Started to paint the rawhide survivors and the Dung Beetle knight

Last night I put the base coat down on some British light armour for BA.

@J-R - Nice big Eva head you have there. Might be good for terrain?
Kojibear, Colonel Voss, M_i_J and myself all have Infinity forces, though most of us haven't played much.

Painted up another Strange Aeons figure this week.

There isn't a place for him in my team currently but I can always use him as a dynamite-toting rogue agent.

past couple of days Ive been prepping and undercoating my Lynch crew for Mali. No particular reason (and truth be told I should probably be paint something useful, like Frostgrave gobbos or making scenery, but something is better than nothing, ne). Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew of some good steampunk street base toppers/inserts/bases or failing that an easy method of doing one's own brickwork. I've looked at the usual online shops, but their cobblestones all seem too lumpy. I'm looking for more organised brickwork style streets, with kerbs and suchlike. Anyway, if anybody knows of any such bases, I'd appreciate you pointing me in their direction :)
