What did you do today.
Re: What did you do today.
Nice gribblies there MIJ and JR. I've been puttying away on Diggachicks these last few weeks. Working on faces now. Look like a bunch of naked department store mannequins with boob jobs wearing Halloween masks right now, but making some progress. The trick is getting the left and right sides to match up. The angle you use your tools at changes and it's impossible to use the same motions to form the left as you use to form the right. At best I can get both sides to look good, but they are two different faces...... I just need to start putting dust-masks, goggles, respirators, on them. That or get a set of Statuesque heads.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

I'm now the proud owner of a big stack of sprues of 15mm plastic Germans, plus a Panzer IV. I'll start assembling them tomorrow while finishing up the Napoleonics on the workbench.
Feel free to call me Dave!

This evening I started making the 45 feet of roads needed for the Overlord game.

Re: What did you do today.
Did a bunch of clipping and assembly and gluing to bases tonight:

That's a platoon of Fallschirmjager, plus bits and bobs of support - observers for a mortar battery, a sniper team, an MG team, and ('cause it's a cheap support option and why not?) a panzerknacker team, plus the tank of course. A bit of cleanup to do still, and I have to decide whether to put any texture on the bases before priming, but they're basically ready to go. I'll have to head down to the creepy ball-joint doll shop this weekend to get dunkelgelb and (if I really want to be a stickler about colors, which I might not) just the right base color for their camo smocks.
Speaking of, would Heer infantry have had camo smocks in '44 and '45?

Re: What did you do today.
I spent several hours this evening painting mahogany brown basecoats on all the metal gubbins on the kraken's legs, as well as about the bottom third of his body. Already sick of rivets, and that's just the base coat
Still, progress, precious, progress.
FYI, didn't do diddly last night, hobby-wise. Did watch a couple more episodes of Luke Cage, which is very good, btw.

Finished assembling all my Frostgrave cultists, some lovely sculpts although I'm thinking they will be tough to paint as there are lots of fine bits and pieces. "Bought us, assembled us now paint us" they are crying.
Getting a fair amount of help from the Dr's here, thanks again for all your kind comments and messages in what has been quite a trying week. I've not managed to reply to you all yet as I was stuck for words to say but know it's much appreciated, cheers. There is a lot less stigma attached to mental health in the UK compared to Japan as you can probably imagine so that's been a relief to be able to open up with my GP.
I have now a crisis team and support network. Most days are very difficult and it's hard to know how or why to carry on. One saving grace is there's no reason I can't start over with a new life in Japan or another country again someday once I have recovered from this ill health. I'm seriously thinking about getting a DELTA ceritficate for Tefl as I have my CELTA already. Also retake some GCSE's which would put me in the right line for finding long term work here as a teacher.
Enjoy it lads, Japan life I mean as things are pretty bleak here for many post Brexit Britain. Winter is coming.
Loving the art and inks Spev. Any news of when I can expect the goblins from the kickstarter? No rush just hoping to clear my bench before they invade.

Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

@ Ashmie: Awesome! A step at a time, and it all comes together.
As for my own models, I will try to give a bit of TLC before I hit the sack. I've been beat by work recently and tomorrow I have to head to Takayama on a family trip. Time, it does seem to start moving faster as I get older....
