@The other Dave, saw your posts on FB some nicely painted ships.

Painted some of my prospero 1000 Sons and Ahriman more, a little on Dark Age miniatures and i based a Tzeench flying horror i guess? will use it as a space monster/Tyranid ship in BFG

Completely failed WP check and bought The Witcher 3 on Steam. In my defence, it was 50% off. Also got a case of the sod-its, and bought Homeworld Remastered, too. It was 66% off, mind you. Am feeling rather space-shippy just now for some reason

I decided to paint up a test scheme on one of my PHR frigates. Throwing caution to the wind, I decided to try dazzle camouflage in Homeworld-inspired colors (both the colors - warm vs cool - and the pattern - random vs ordered - are meant to distinguish them from my UCM fleet).

It actually looks a bit better in person - the high contrast of the dazzle scheme makes it hard to photograph nicely. After taking the picture, I lightened up the ECM arrays and highlighted the hex thingies on the fins in light cyan. I might go in and put a light metallic coat on the hull and engines, haven't decided yet.

Also (and this picture fails to show it well either) it's hard to appreciate from photos how chunky the PHR ships are. This frigate is almost as long as a BFG cruiser, although much of that is finny goodness of course.
