We had our first "real" game of Dropfleet today, and it was good fun - as expected, much more tactically interesting than the small demo games, although to be quite honest I'm starting to feel like I probably underestimated how many drop assets I'd want in my fleets. At 1000 points, 2 strike carriers and a troopship was still a very small number of failure points, losing any one of which seriously hurt my ability to score points. List fiddling is in order!

I also had my first game of Malifaux with Zoraida's crew, and I have to say I like her a lot. I don't think I used her anything like really effectively, and the ridiculous breadth of options she can bring to bear in a single activation is a bit daunting, but voodoo dolls are just fun. Looking forward to playing more, and I'm already thinking about how to expand the crew.

Received the Konflikt 47 Soviet starter set, and put together the walker and T-34/85 or Teslagun, The walker came with 2 guns so i magnetized those.

nice wolf there, jus! Very...purple. (and on a more serious note, nice work on the eyes. Your SDE stuff is looking very natty.)

Today I finished the last Tiefling (huzzah!). This is my first time to try speed OSL, so be kind, please :) It works better on the back than on the front, for some reason.

Next up (and currently in progress, actually) is Big Red, followed by a mamoth basing session for the whole warband, and then it shall be DONE. and I can paint my malifaux crew... :?

*edit* dang diddly doodle. Just remembered there are some books I need to paint, too. Ah well - shouldn't take long ( he said...famous last words... :? )

Nice minis all round guys.

Today I put the finishing touches (flock) on some minis and got some pictures taken.
First off 5 figures for D&D including a couple of metal WFB figs.

And a close up of the barbarian. This model was a lot of fun to paint with a mix of textures and well defined features.

Some Brits for the North West Frontier.
Image
And some Afghans to face them.

A ruined building for 40K.

A mercenary for Malifaux.

And some Lancastrian Men-at-Arms.

Placed an order with Sarissa today (thanks Prim for the recommendation!) for some buildings to help fill out my 15mm Normandy table and my Malifaux table.

Sprayed the walker, heavy infantry and the tank black and then sprayed it with Tamiya Dark green which is not really dark so another black wash, made a prone guy with the anti tank-rifle had issues with the arms, that wouldn't align correctly, shoddy design or the numbers on the box for the parts are wrong, anyway some greenstuff and superglue fix done.

I wonder how the Tesla turret will look on a Tamiya tank as i think the Warlord one is kind of small

I also sent some money ring-tail's way today (had a bit more cash at the end of the month than I thought I would) and got a few more bits and bobs for my Malifaux crew and for my space crusade yet. (Also learned that Wyrd has chosen to misspell doppelganger, which annoys me disproportionately. :D )
