Finished up a Doppelganger for Zoraida's crew this morning.


Mmm, body horror! She turned out all right - skin has never been my strong suit, and she has a whole blanket of it.

Working on my Hive Guard / Tyrand Guard hybrid "zoats" for Advanced Space Crusade next, then some Will o' the Wisps for Malifaux and Cultists for ASC / Shadow Wars.

@kojibear - Speaking of chaos, you know, Chaos Space Marines can field guys in power armor. Just play them counts-as, the Inquisition will never know. Pop on a mark of chaos while you're at it - they're free! Surely the Emperor's finest can resist one little mark of chaos? Join ussssss.......

Good point. I had a look at the Chaos kill team list and it is a good counts as for space marines. The aspiring champion as a veteran sergeant, The chaos marks can be counts as chapter specific traits, the raptors as assault marines etc.

Interestingly I don't see any heavy flamers for the faction kill teams I looked at.

Finished up my Cultists - there's nothing quite like models in nothing but dirty browns and grays for a quick paint job - and based them up for Advanced Space Crusade, which just happens to match the Chaos Marines I'll be using for Shadow War, so they'll do double duty.



I really dig these sculpts. They're basically nearly-generic post-apocalyptic dudes, which gives lots of options for how to use them, and the box of five was (*gasp!*) very reasonably priced.

Double post, but I've been on another painting tear. Tonight I finished up these... obese, skull-faced, terminally-depressed firefly fairies?



Will o' the Wisps for Malifaux, another really weird entry for the Neverborn. They have some cool synergies with Zoraida, though (in particular the ability to summon a voodoo doll for her, freeing up her own actions for more tricksiness), so we'll give them a chance!

Even for Malifaux those are bizarre.

I just got back from a weekend in Tokyo and Tochigi, where I visited the tomb of Tokugawa Ieyasu. Well worth a trip if you have the time.
I'm absolutely jiggered though, so I'm going to spend the rest of the evening watching Ser Loras Tyrell kung fu fighting his way through an army of ninja in Marvel's Iron Fist.
