Did you buy locally? I've been thinking about getting some fields and honestly have no idea how or where to start searching for "teddy bear fur" in Japanese, heh.Primarch wrote:Teddy Bear Fur

Maybe craft Hearts Tokai ToD. They are usually in or near an Aeon mega mall.

Re: What did you do today.
Today I finished my entry for the old school category for the painty contest. Quite pleased with it, if I do say so meself. Not so much that it's a super-awesome paint job (it isnt), but more that I did the whole shebang, from "hmmn. I may have an idea here" to "done" in two weeks. Yay me on the speed painting
Next up: the convershun contest. Can I pull a two-weeker again? Only time will tell...

Re: What did you do today.
Got the base coats and a couple layers of drybrushing on my third little Malifaux house.

Looks pretty good as-is, actually, although it's maybe a bit less spoopy than the other two. The only thing I'm sure I'll do is put some flock and static grass on the base, then maybe dirty up the roof at least. But it's a nice kit with plenty of sharp detail (props again to Sarissa) and doesn't need as much painting as the other two kits to bring out / create detail.

Putting down the putty (mostly) and picking up the paint brush. Trying to get a project done in time for Naghammer. Another series of lovely, sunny spring days spent inside painting furiously. Yes!
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

Re: What did you do today.
A couple years late to a party that has ended, but I found these guys at the bottom of a case of miniatures the other day and decided to continue my 28mm phrenzy by painting them (and the rest of their crew) up.

Re: What did you do today.
TOD: better late than never, eh? Next you'll turn your Space Crusade guys into full 40K just as everyone rage quits.
In other news, Prim came down to Chez Pikey for some gaming today.
The morning saw a recce detachment from the 21st Panzer Division clash with a similar force from the 28th Maori Battalion. In a fierce clash the Maoris saw off their old foes with their fierce bayonet charges and more accurate gunnery.
The arvo saw Aichi-ken's first(?) ever game of Saga. Jarl Michael Barryson led his Viking raiders against the Saxon Lord Latheron. After some to and fro attacking, the two leaders faced off in the middle of the village square. With a mighty swing of his Dane axe the Saxon Lord lopped the head clean off his foe. However he subsequently slipped in the pool of his enemy's blood falling on Barryson's sword and spitting himself. I.e. It was a draw
I have to say, I was on the fence about Saga, but having played it, it's great fun. Managing your battle board and your allocation of dice adds an interesting mechanic to the game.
Cheers for the games Prim!

@ToD - Nice!
As Pikey says, we played BA and Saga today. Saga was fun, though a lot of time was spent double checking the rule book.
Today I also got the last bit of flock down on a couple of bits and pieces.
A ruined house for Bolt Action... I need to go back and tidy up a couple of pieces I think.

A ruined building for 40K.

A bunch of Viking bowmen.

Some Viking warriors.

And the Viking Jarl and his hearthguard. The Jarl model is bigger than the other models, (though the pose hides it a little), so I have named him Jarl Olaf Rongskael.

Some of the Vikings were converted from Warlord Celts.
