As an aside my 40K dark Eldar finally sold. After paying off some of my holiday debts I have a little left over, which night as well expedite the appearance ofa Maori company and dubious RAC friends.

The more the merrier - and we're in no particular hurry!job wrote:By any chance you guys would like a forth wheel? I'd like to do a company of the desert rats and a company of Germans, possibly 21 Panzer or 90th Light division. I can assemble and paint up the forces, but I do need some time (probably in the scale of 5-6 months).
Just to think about rules for a bit, it looks like I Ain't Been Shot Mum would deal with this really well - activation is with a set of cards you flip through, and putting in force- and theater-specific "event cards" is part of the RAW. Stuff like hesitant troops, fuel and ammo shortages, poor fire discipline, it's all in there. 'Course, it'd also work with just some slight reworking of BKC's command blunders too, assuming that's still in 3rd edition.Simon W wrote:Maybe we could make some in-house rules to mirror you the frosty relationship between the NZ division and the RAC. How's that for historical authenticity..?
To many eras eh?Mike the Pike wrote:My copy of BKC 3 arrived today. It seems based on one base = one platoon, not that that is an insurmountable obstacle.
By the way, Pendraken, sent out a e-mail to everyone who had ordered BKC 3. Apparently it is so riddled with eras they are pulling the whole lot and re-writing it! WTF!
Their mail offered me the choice of a refund or a copy of the 'bad' version to be replaced free of charge with an updated version in due course. Obviously, I chose the latter.
