Nice Nids!

I spent some time over the weekend assembling some MDF kits. For buildings I think they work great, for more complex designs, MDF is a pain to work with. I also did some work on some Machine Gun Teams for my Americans and my Germans and got some colours on a couple of American armoured cars.

you seem to be experiencing an unusual number of bright sunny days, for the UK. Wot's 'appening? Nice pic, btw :)

Over the weekend I put together some space stations for dropfleet - quite fun once I got going! Today I got started on my 3 monopose marines I'll use to fill out my devastator squad. Conventional wisdom seems to be 5-man squads or go home, but since the codex says 10-man squads that's what I'll paint. :D (It also lets me field 2 devastator squads in ASC, not that such a thing is likely to happen in anything but the biggest of games.)

@Ashmie - That's some tall grass that poor soldier has to walk through. :D

Today I put some washes onto my Machine Gun Teams and did some painting on a few Saxon shields.

@ToD - those space stations are rather fun to construct, dont you think? The somewhat free-for-all, just stick em together any which way approach is quite liberating compared to a lot of other kits. How many did you manage to get out of your half of the box? I managed 3 big ones, one medium one, and one wee tiddler. Should be enough, I reckon.

Today I worked a bit more on a norse BB team (colours are giving me gyp. Once the first one is done the rest should flow along easy enough though) and pondered the merits of scratch building a new tank for my nurglies. It's been knocking about my head for years now, but I reckon I could do a minotaur* out of plasticard...

*the FW tank, not the labyrinth-dweller with anger issues.

I also started playing Skyrim again. Probably a massive mistake, but I figure I should at least finish off the dlc before I put it to bed permanently.

I put together 4, all of a size. I probably could have squeezed another out, but I went pretty vertical on a couple of them, which eats into your store of hub parts. I reckon I'll put some pics up when I get one painted - they're really pretty nice-looking. (I couldn't un-wobble the big circular hub, though, sadly.)

Today I spent an hour or so painting bricks, then I spent another 30 minutes painting window frames. God, I love painting terrain.
I also painted some tyres and some tracks. Woo!
