I do love that gaunt summoner. I've got absolutely no use for one, but it's a damn fine model, so I cant shake the "I wants it, precioussssss" feeling. Nice pj on all the Tzeentch stuff, there, AGP :)

Between those and the Crimson Slaughter marines, I've painted 34 models - and 150 eyes.

Thanks to a combination of Yodobashi Camera now carrying GW models and poor impulse control, I've come into possession of my first bigmarines.

Today I painted the skin and faces of some Saxons and a couple of Bolt Action support weapon teams.

Yesterday I played Malifaux against M_i_J, Rasputina Vs. Collette. In a bizarre turn of events, Rasputina's crew of cannibals and monsters was nearly tabled by the prancing showgirls. I'd like to blame a consistent run of bad hands for my defeat, so I will.

In Prim's defence, the cards did seem to hate him yesterday. On the other hand...Ha! Nearly tabled by the showgirls! For those non-Malifaux players, that's like getting a kicking off a halfling team at blood bowl, or perhaps getting beat up by a rabbit.

Don't worry, Prim. Next time I have no doubt that Colette and her chums will be experiencing gaming at the pointy end of Lady J's sword. With extreme prejudice, no doubt.

I'm very quiet but not dead. Today I managed a squad of Warzone Brotherhood troopers to accompany the Crucifier in the hunt for heretics. Behold my lame 1st attempt at marble effect.

Image

Next Inquisitor Hamilkar and a few Sacred Troopers to fill up a group to try the rules (just 2 editions late  ) for WZ Ressurection.

M.

PS: Also Warpath Enforcers are painted and ready to kill something once I get to read the rules too (Where is my Captain Picard double facepalm emote?)

@miguel - that is a fine and respectable marble. I spent ages researching it when I tried to do it first time, and it ended up looking....well, let's say poor, and leave it at that. One thing I've found handy when doing marble is oil paints. It lets you lay down a line then smudge it out in one direction, which gives a kind of marbly effect when done right. Easier to blend/smudge than acrylics.

This evening I did some more work on a bunch of US armour, just the decals and weathering to do now. I also painted the last few bits and bobs on the current batch of Saxons. I'm hoping to get some varnish on them tonight as well.

Got the colors blocked out on the first of my primaris marines - I'd share a pic, but I'm at the stage in painting yellow where it looks like garbage. :D Man, they're lovely models, though, monopose and all.

It is all right, everything is all right, the struggle is finished. I have won the victory over myself. I love my Bigmarines.
