Be careful there, you'll have a few of us lining up outside the kozoji man-cave with our plastic kits in handPrimarch wrote: Would you like me to build them for you?
Seriously though, I can if you want.
What did you do today.

The ECW minis were clipped, filed, cleaned lovingly in the basin with hot soapy water, dried and then primed with skull white spray. 8 minis to be painted.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Re: What did you do today.

I finished up the last of my hybrids for Advanced Space Crusade this morning - next it's on to some Skitarii! I cut corners on the metallics a bit, but these guys have been languishing on my bench for like 6 months, so I just wanted to get them done.

Fine, then I'll just build my own plastic models! With blackjack and hookers! The Other Dave wrote:Heh, I'll live, but thanks for the offer.Primarch wrote: Would you like me to build them for you?
Seriously though, I can if you want. It's just that going back to these after the newer models, with their tabs and slots on the shoulders that ensure everything lines up right, really makes me appreciate the tabs and slots.
Nice looking cultists, btw.

Re: What did you do today.
Continuing on my roll, I did up a test model for my AdMech force - really just the Gryphonne IV scheme copied straight from the "Osprey 40,000" picture in the codex.

No base until I figure out what to do about unit markings - I got a pack of transfer paper you can print onto with an inkjet printer, only to remember I don't have an inkjet printer at home.
I'll figure something out.

@ToD - You're churning models out at an impressive rate. Well done! The skitarii looks great. I'm not a huge fan of the GW Studio Red scheme, so your alternative colours are a refreshing change.

Re: What did you do today.
Thanks! It's weird how GW seems to have let the fluff dictate a very same-y set of color schemes for all the varied AdMech forces. "This Forge World used to wear <color X>, but now wear red to show their allegiance to Mars because of some schism that happened in the fiction thousands of years ago!" seems to crop up in almost all the color scheme descriptions. It'd be like if they started saying "Blood Angels used to wear red armor, but now wear blue to show their allegiance to the Ultramarines!"Primarch wrote:@ToD - You're churning models out at an impressive rate. Just wait until enough Primaris join, they'll be thanking their spiritual liege soon enough. The Other Dave wrote:... It'd be like if they started saying "Blood Angels used to wear red armor, but now wear blue to show their allegiance to the Ultramarines!"

Re: What did you do today.
Got in a good afternoon of puttying. Half of the work was re-doing legs and toes on one model. Still need to stop by Tokyu Hands and get some new jewelers saw blades so I can cut out a section of leg. Had to chop off the tail too and will re-center it. You can't be to careful when making your wire frame. It's such a pain to have to go back and try to fix things after you have some putty on. Got a good start on another cultist though. I'll soon have a horde of them! muhahahaha!
