Re: Shadespire
Previews for the final two scheduled warbands in the GAMA news release:
Blood Warriors, aka your basic Khorne-flavored Chaos Warriors. I'll probably get these, if only for the Khorne Dog (which I will always call that, so prepare yourselves).
And Stormcast Rangers, which I will likely pass on, although as the first (and only) warband with ranged weaponry standard they'll at least bring something new to the table rules-wise, even if they don't model-wise.
Which leaves the big unanswered question of where the game goes from here, since this is all the warbands scheduled for Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire. Fan theories are that there will be a second core set and line of warbands (some other Warhammer Underworlds: AdjectiveNoun) and that seems reasonable to me - if these two warbands come out in May or June, that'd make it reasonable to release a second core set at or about the one-year mark of initial release in Fall. The game certainly seems to be doing well, but who knows?

Re: Shadespire
They also snuck some teasers into the Adepticon newsdump - confirmed continuing support for the game and images of a couple cards:

...which suggests two of the warbands will be wraiths (yay!) and More Damn Stormcast (boo!). But continued support is good, and it allows us (for now, at least) to hope they'll get some elves and steampunk dwarves into the mix.

Re: Shadespire
Khorne chaos warriors and hand-crossbow Stormcast up for pre-order on Monday.
https://www.warhammer-community.com/201 ... hadespire/
The Stormcast have the same issue the Dwarves did in terms of looking pretty dang self-similar, but I imagine I'll pick up the Chaos dudes at some point. Khorne Dog!

Re: Shadespire
So these might be the wraith warband in the forthcoming second core set. If so, guh!

Re: Shadespire
Hmm! Looks like GW is going to be offering the Shadespire warbands for sale sans cards, for those of you who either just want the models to paint up, or want to cheap out and download card images from the Warhammer Underworlds site.
https://www.warhammer-community.com/201 ... r-warband/
If this also means they'll be offering just the cards for sale at some point (especially now that all the cards in the first release are out), that could be cool too - I wouldn't mind extra copies of some of the cards in the core set, and I'm too anal to actually do the card images thing.

Re: Shadespire
Well, it turns out those banshees were a unit for AoS, but the nighthaunt warband in the core set more than makes up for not being them:

Some pretty awesome stuff - the leader is arguably sort of a mini-Olynder (the big centerpiece ghost lady in AoS), but as that's a cool model I ain't complaining.
The stormcast in the core set are, well, stormcast:

Nothing too exciting, although as evocators (the unit they represent) are a unit I want for my AoS stormcast anyway (and Shadespire warbands are useable in AoS), it at least saves me a purchase.
The only other warband we know about for sure is Moonclan / Night Goblins, for which they've shown a troll and a bat-winged squig. The troll has a sort of cartoonish style:

...but I can dig it.
Also it looks like they're introducing a magic mechanic to the game, complete with bespoke dice to roll for it. I'm pretty pumped in general - I've been having a lot of fun with the game with the Ichinomiya group, and its "paint these three to seven cool models and be finished" aspect is really good for my painting mojo.
