Re: What did you do today.
I had a day off yesterday, so I was able to get some hobby time in.
I finished 20 Normans that had been sat on my desk for ages. They are painted, varnished and flocked. I just need to tap off the excess flock when I get home tonight and I can take some pictures.
I also started cleaning up some more cars for Gaslands. As well as some standard cars, I began construction on the ultimate death machine for crushing, mangling and obliterating any Mad Max wannabes who cross it's path.
Cue evil laugh!

As promised, some Normans.

Remember kids, playing with crossbows is all fun and games until someone loses an eye.
The crossbowmen are from Crusader Miniatures. They are nicely made, but their faces are a little on the skinny side. Still, they look the business.
The archers are from Conquest Games. They're nice, with very characterful faces, but their assembly doesn't match any other maker, so you can't mix and match parts easily. Fireforge, Warlord, North Star, Perrys and Gripping Beast all have some kitbash-ability, but Conquest don't sadly.

On Tuesday, I played the first narrative scenario in the Rogue Trader box. Today, I played the other three. Overall, a victory for my forces of decay. I'm not sure how I feel about that; normally I play the Imperial forces.

@agp - how does RT compare to regular KT? I haven’t really had a chance to read up much about it, but I’m kinda curious.

Re: What did you do today.
The two included Kill Teams are more fiddly - each of the Starstriders specialists is a named character with their own special rules and wargear, besides their specialisms - and not as flexible, since you only get what you get. The Starstriders might be able to add more Voidsmen, but that's it.
I've only played KT using the contents of the RT box, so I'm not sure how much difference there is. The four narrative missions using the two special Kill Zones are interesting - not just "kill everything", and there's a few Matched Play scenarios using those Kill Zones too.
It does make me want to play some "proper" Kill Team, though, so that's good. And the models look like they'll be fun to paint.

Re: What did you do today.
I'm back in the US after serious gallivanting around (been to Aus/NZ, Japan and the UK in the last 5 weeks).
In the UK last week I caught up with my oldest friend and we played 5 or 6 games of new Necromunda, with either my Beastmen Gor-liaths or my Orlocks vs his Escher. Was great fun, although I think Escher have it pretty tough in the underground 'zone mortalis'-style map as their general weapon range advantage is lost versus the Goliath strength and toughness advantage. Their poison weapons are also less effective against the tough Goliaths than other games. The Escher v Orlocks games felt much closer. Nonetheless, great fun (and many whiskies) were had!

So many games, so little time....

Re: What did you do today.
Over the weekend, I spent a couple of days away in Takayama in Gifu. It was a nice break and the weather was quite pleasant. After coming back home, I was in the mood to sit down and try to clear some of the backlog off my painting workbench. I have had a bunch of undercoated Arabs sitting at the back of the table since early summer, so I started working on those and got several of the main colours blocked in. So, I'm happy that I am making progress, but I'm probably going to have to shift gears a little (car related pun) and do some work on my Gaslands stuff for the upcoming monthly games.

Re: What did you do today.
I've been pretty busy over the past few weeks, so not much time for painting, although I did get the 3 new 'nids for my Kill Team (plus a hive guard for Advanced Space Crusade that's been kicking around unpainted for a while because really two is plenty for that game) base coated in red, and got started in on the armor plates.
Feel free to call me Dave!

Re: What did you do today.
Last night my copy of Black Powder 2 arrived at my door. I haven't had any time to read it yet, but it seems to be full of beautiful eye-candy. Massive armies of well-painted models fighting across huge tables populated with jaw dropping terrain. It's enough to inspire you to pick up a new period! ...which is kind of a problem when you have half a dozen unfinished armies on the go already.
Sigh, if only I had unlimited time, money, space and energy. I guess I should just focus on reading the new rules and figuring out what has changed.
