@Konrad, nice work. I like the colour scheme on the last figure, very Arabian Nights.
Just one question, why is the drummer with the checks (great work there) called Gateau Festa Harada?

Not much to show for the past few days for me. I have been busy getting ready for the painting challenge mentioned above, so lots of models being assembled, undercoated etc. As well as the challenge itself, I have become involved in a painting 'duel' with some of the other challengers. The aim of the duel is to paint models from as many different themes as possible. To qualify for the duel, you have to paint 5 28mm minis (or their equivalent) from the same theme. You have to have as many different themes as you can. The definition being that you wouldn't expect to see them on the same table together. For example Saxons and Vikings count as the same theme, but Lord of the Rings Orcs and Warhammer Orcs would not. The losers of the duel have to send the winner one painted mini of their (loser's) choice. I think I may have bitten off more than I can chew, but on the plus side it will help reduce the clutter in my games room, even if only by one model.

Gateau has had a long and colorful history since being kidnapped by Arabian pirates off the coast of France. His travels with Marco Polo, the ninjas, I just don't have time to get into it all.

Black Guard done. Bad pics. They have a semi-gloss and a bit of touch up paint here and there, so that accounts for the shiny/dull bits all mixed in. I'll put a matte coat on after I base them. Probably need a bit of touch up here and there, but basically done.

Awesome work Konrad.

And now I am picturing the life of Gateau and the adventures he must have had. :D

The painting challenge I will participate in begins tomorrow, so my focus this week has been getting stuff off my painting desk and to get stuff prepped for the challenge. I have a couple of minis in need of some varnish, but I have more or less achieved my target of emptying my desk. For tomorrow I have a couple of new Kolsinky Sable brushes, a new pot of Vallejo brown wash and a fresh palette for my paint. :D

Seconded! :D

Hope the start of the painting competition has gone smoothly Prim - no dropped bottles, stray brush hairs or sudden life interference (unless it is a good one, naturally)!

Sadly my boss said that I wasn't allowed to paint at work, so the start of my entry has been delayed until I can get home.

What kind of monsters do I work for?

@ Konrad: Nice work on the Arab warriors. I really like the colors and free hand patterns.

@ Primarch: Best of luck!

I haven’t posted here as I’ve been working at a snail’s pace. I finished up some battle servitors sitting in my painting tray for some time.
