@Dave - my eldest got the skellies and my youngest got the Sigmarines with the eagle and crossbows. It's been quite the eye opener seeing how different the eaglemarines and the spellmarines (from the box) differ in their playstyles. I like the game more and more the more I play. I'm just now getting to the point where I'm seriously considering the implications of deck building.

Nice mecha Yellowstreak. I like the commander sticking out of the hatch with his rifle, just in case the main gun isn't enough.

This was the GW kit from one of the box sets. They really did a nice job with the Griffon - less cartoony and more 'once I get my claws on you, you're toast'.The Other Dave wrote: @kojibear, I think what I like most about the griffon is that it's a very limited pallette - basically green and khaki. Makes for a very striking paint job, and it can be hard to pull off while keeping things visually interesting (which you did). Is the griffon itself a GW joint? It doesn't strike me as their typical style.
@Prim - Can't wait for our rematch! I'll be sure to bring a different set of dice.
@Yellowstreak - It really is a cool model, kind of like a WW2 version of an AT-ST!
