What did you do today.
Re: What did you do today.
@YS - Nice work. I like the mechs.
Yesterday I finished building a special mini for my NH 40K army. Fingers crossed I will be able to prime it tonight.

Last night I got my 40K mini primed and did some work on an officer for my Anglo-Zulu War British force.Primarch wrote:Yesterday I finished building a special mini for my NH 40K army. Fingers crossed I will be able to prime it tonight.
I guess everyone is beavering away at their NH armies at the moment.

Both my NH army and my special decoy not NH army that I'll use at games day this month are all painted.Primarch wrote:Last night I got my 40K mini primed and did some work on an officer for my Anglo-Zulu War British force.

Given my recent efforts, I can certainly understand how too much of a good thing can leave you feeling a little tired of it.The Other Dave wrote:Both my NH army and my special decoy not NH army that I'll use at games day this month are all painted.Primarch wrote:Last night I got my 40K mini primed and did some work on an officer for my Anglo-Zulu War British force.

Still, it's best to get back on the hobby wagon and do something, even if it doesn't involve paint. I've mainly been kitbashing minis over the past few weeks and only painting in dribs and drabs when the mood takes me. That way I feel like I am making some progress and not just wasting time in front of my PC.

Re: What did you do today.
Howdy folks, apologies for my absence here of late. I've been checking in but havent had much hobby news to share. Those Konflict Germans are very nice, YStreak - while historical (or quasi historical) stuff doesnt do it for me, I do like a good mech, and your paintjob sets them off well. I'm also in no small amount of awe at the painting speed of dave, who outstrips me so far it's just embarassing
While he's done, oooh, I dunno, two boxes worth of stuff, I've managed a mighty 3 minis. I did also find a job, mind you, which did take up some time. Anyway, less of that - here's some pics of the minis I did. They're BB wood elves (and their little friend) from a company I can't remember the name of. Really nice minis, mind you. Wish I could do a better job, but my eyes are seriously starting to give me gyp when I ask them to focus on small details.

current (2019) hobby interests
eh, y'know. Stuff, and things
Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

@M_i_J - Nice work. I like the colour scheme you've gone for. Maybe a visit to the optician is in order if your eyes are bothering you.

Just a quick hello and wanted to share this short shout out to ANTICs model shop in Bristol. One of the worst things about leaving Japan is not tripping over Tamiya model shops every 5 minutes. Plenty of generic GW here but model shops in the traditional sense are rare nowadays. So I was delighted to find this one https://youtu.be/4zsoidaFA0c
Cor Dave! Amazing work. You should enter some more painting competitions.

Very nice MiJ! If you don't use a magnifier already - get one*! I'm sure it's saved my eyes from getting worse and tbh if i didn't have one I'd struggle to paint these days.
*Make sure you get one with a built-in light too.

@ YS: Oh! An old MW2 pilot like me goes bananas for walkers. Nice little German Detachment. Like the camp scheme.
@ MiJ: Very cool looking team. I like the treeman especially. And the work on the flesh tones is nice.
I did a wee bit of painting the past week. But I’ve also been playing Skyrim again. Such an awesome game. Dovahkin, man! That and hide and seek in the playground with the daughter. So much to do in so little time.
