Re: What did you do today.
Most of my post-NagoyaHammer hobby activity has been of the "moving boxes from my car to my apartment and trying to tetris them back into the places I apparently somehow fit them in before" variety, but I did paint a couple more goblins for Zarbag's Gits for Shadespire, and got the last two mostly done. When they are done, I'll need to figure out how to fill my hobby time before payday when I can buy models again.

Feel free to call me Dave!

And here's Zarbag's Gitz done for Underworlds:

It is, indeed, just the scheme my WFB / AoS night goblin army uses, only actually painted carefully instead of just dipping a couple hundred goblins. I decided to try out the current GW trick of shading out to pink on nose tips, knuckles, and so forth, and quite like how that turned out. It's yet another Underworlds warband that's made up of some lovely models, and good fun to paint. Now I just need to consider what to get next. Sylvaneth (tree elves), Kharadron (sky dwarves), Tzeentch, the Darkoath Chaos band, and of course the troll are all tempting in their own ways...
But first (or as soon as I get paid on the 16th) it'll be time to get my titan on!

@ToD - Nice work. The dip might be ok for bulk work, but proper painting looks better. Those models look great, especially the guy with the mushroom hat.

A big thumbs up from me for those gobbos, Dave
Nothing negative to say about em at all. In fact, looking at them makes me want to pick up the box, too. Job’s a good ‘un.

@tod: Very Noice! I especially like the squigs. So very characterful and all but....bases? you have them on proper BASES!

@jus - the bases for Shadespire are integral. The minis don’t have tabs and whatnot. Otherwise, I’m sure Dave would have em on clears

Re: What did you do today.
Thanks, gents - I'm really pleased with how the little blighters turned out. 'Course, they're the warband I have the least clue of how to use successfully in game, but that's always the way with goblins, so I'm used to it.
I actually really like the integral sculpted bases the Underworlds minis have - the main reasons I do clear for 40K (aside from "I started my marines that way for ASC and changing halfway through would look bad") are a) I want something that will match any of the many different mats and warzones we play on, and b) making base decoration that looks good is a lot of work and mess for (relatively) little payback. Sculpted bases, especially for Underworlds, solve both those problems, as a) all the bases are made to more-or-less fit "fighting in a ruined city" and b) all you have to do to make them look good is paint them.

Re: What did you do today.
A bit late in my praise, but they are great ToD. The models are very active and thematic and the painting effort was well worth it ToD!

Re: What did you do today.
Here are the minis that I painted up and brought along to NagoyaHammer this year.
First of all, some extra Zulu warriors. Even all these extra troops were no match for Auxryn's dice rolling.

Some Natal Carbineers and Lt. Col. Durnford.

Some Royal Artillery and their commander.

A camp site and wagon.

And this little bug for my Necron army. The model uses Forge World rules, but as I don't like working with resin or paying FW prices, it is converted from 1.5 plastic Wraith kits.

Re: What did you do today.
I can't understate how good all that BP stuff looked on the table in play. An awesome job!
Yesterday I painted some moss, roots, and rocks. :two thumbs up emoji:

I feel like I could up the contrast on the mossy bits, but the texture is pretty ill-defined - it'd probably take some actual painterly painting.
