Let's have a GW rumors and sneak peeks thread!
Re: Let's have a GW rumors and sneak peeks thread!
I thought those blackstone explorers were from a different game they teased a while back?

They’re also going to be in a (for some reason) US and Germany only Kerrunch-esque intro game.Primarch wrote:I thought those blackstone explorers were from a different game they teased a while back?

Man....I know these new kits are jaw-dropping detailed and beautiful, but wow. I had no idea they had gotten so expensive. I mean, we used to complain about 15 bucks for an army general.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

Yeah, most boxes are going up 500-1000 yen here in Japan, generally between 5% and 10% - annoying, especially considering they just had one of their best years on record to the point that they (admirably, TBF) shared a multi-million-pound bonus out among all their employees, but I guess realistically their success is tied to their business practices, so.
Buncha stuff up for pre-order this week: https://www.warhammer-community.com/201 ... -everyone/
Something for everyone - but nothing groundbreaking for anyone.
-The revised Sylvaneth tome for AoS, pushed back earlier in the year, gets its release along with their endless spells and redesigned faction scenery.
-Space Wolf and Thousand Sons start collecting boxes for 40K, along with the plastic Spiritseer from the Wake the Dead box.
-Wood Elves for Blood Bowl, which we've seen previously.
-"Titans of Legend," custom command terminals for titan special characters, plus faction-specific stratagems (and dice) for Titanicus, along with the lovely Acastus knights I linked to a picture of in the "this week" thread.
And the Scouring of the Shire for LOTR, which I guess is still chugging along?

They ever do a movie of that? I bet P.J could strrrrrrretch it out for a Trilogy. Or even better, give it the G.O.T treatment. Hobbit intrigue and power plays ans Sam Gamgee fights his way to the Comfortable Bench. The climax, ranks of and ranks of desperate, dirty, enraged hobbits swarming over Sauruman's mercenaries in a frenzy of knee-slashing, eye-ball stabbing murder is somehow rather amusing. The Other Dave wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2019 12:50 am

Man, they really let the miniatures designers loose with WarCry:

That's the... 5th out of 6? If I'm remembering right? Warband, the guys from Shyish (the realm of Death), and they went Full Ian Miller with these jabronis.

The rank-and-filers look a little samey, but holey moley that leader. And, for those worried that AoS isn't "grimdark" enough, they wear their own faces and hands on their belts.

WarCry
- Noun - The sound a hobbyist makes upon opening their model case and finding that every mini has snapped.
Lovely looking figures. So far they have all been stunning.

They're nuts. No idea if I'm getting into the game yet (storage is seriously becoming a concern around here), but it's going to be really hard not to buy some, if only just to paint.

Re: Let's have a GW rumors and sneak peeks thread!
I really love those minis, and since I'm going to be in the land of cheap minis for the holidays in a week or so, I was thinking seriously about picking up warcry.
Buuuuuut,
sanity kicked in. When am I ever going to actually play it? It doesnt matter how awesome the minis look, or even how the game plays. I have no time to play. I barely manage to play the games I already have (and still very much enjoy).
So, no warcry for me.
I'll probably get some new shadespire warbands, though, to make me feel better
