hmmn. I can get a Shadespire warband for 4000 (or less, if i buy from scotland). 7000 seems like quite the jump, for what seems like a comparably scaled game with a similar number of minis.

They seem to have a rather higher model count than Shadespire - looks like the Iron Golem have 8, including an Ogre, and the beast guys have 9, including a big old lion thing. So, roughly double the plastic at roughly double the price. And it *looks* like there are some (limited) weapon options for at least some of the models.

Emphasis on semi. Looks like a couple potential hand swaps at best, based on released pictures of weapon options and such.

Hmm! In "it's something that's been standard practice from other companies for literally decades but still a welcome change from GW" news, it looks like the 7000-yen warband boxes will include all the warband and unit cards you'll need to play.

Not much copy about it yet, but "humans, aelves and duardin" (rather than mentioning the existing elf and dwarf subfactions) suggests to me that we might be looking at, to some degree at least, an "Old World armies of order" battletome - based around things aesthetically the same as the old Empire.


(Those look like proper wood elves, all right!)

Open Day also saw a teaser for Underworlds Season 3 (Beastgrave, set apparently in the Realm of Beasts, to whence a crack in reality has opened from Shadespire proper), and while there aren't any model pictures yet, silhouettes suggest wood elf big hair (which ties in nicely to the wood elf-y release above) and at least two centaur models. Woot!
