Senasuke is probably a witch given that she is crazy good even though shes only been in the hobby for a few years. But she makes everything look easy so maybe I'll give it a shot. I'll probably just use regular paint for most surfaces but I like how bone done with contrast so I might try it on the artillery piece.

The articles on Warhammer Community that show off cool paint schemes are a pretty good resource and I've certainly used them for inspiration before.

I think that’s part of why she’s so good - she doesn’t have many received ideas about what’s “right” or not, and just tries stuff out.

More quick battlefield jobs churned out:

The heads are Forgeworld Stormcast Eternal heads, and the banner is stolen from a Finecast Grey Hunter. What I've learned from this experience is I don't like resin, not even a little bit.

Should be enough to play fully painted this week, unless I feel an urge to feel some damn unit I haven't painted yet.

Finished up my second plague marine for my Dusk Raiders kill team, Garg the Abomination:

The green on the nurglings is maybe a bit intense given the rest of the model's palette, but eh. Good fun to paint. 4 to go!

Looks awesome and I love the nurglings! Do you already have poxwalkers to go with them?

Thanks! I haven't picked up anything beyond the Space Marine Heroes set yet - the 6 marines in the SMH box are exactly 99 points, so there's no hurry in terms of "getting stuff together to play games with". That said, they're cheap, so the easy-build pox walkers and the easy-build plague marines (for a leader with some more beefy weaponry and the blight launcher) will probably get picked up sooner rather than later. Then if I'm enjoying them / not burned out on painting them, maybe the easy-build terminators for a lord of contagion and some elite choices, and that (famous last words, I know) would be that for death guard.

Sounds like a plan - and I'd be happy to play against them if you want to put that "enjoying them" to the test 😃

The pox walkers are key though IMO - some of the best objective holders in the game.

Absolutely! Depending on when the December game day shakes out, and assuming we ever actually appear in the same place at the same time, of course.

I discovered something important about Underworlds today - I can't fit two teams in a case if one of them is Rippa's Snarlfangs. So I need to switch them out for the Grymwatch, but I had the mild problem they were primed.

I've zero problems playing with unpainted minis but primed felt like an uncomfortable middle ground. So I sloshed some contrast on them in a very quick, very dirty job.

I've started Epidemius but I wouldn't wish painting him upon my greatest enemies. Epidemius himself and the flags are cool, but there's so many little sh*tty old trashy bits thrown on the model. The sculptor was definitely like, "Ahhhh Nurgle players don't pay attention to what they're painting anyways." And it's finecast to top it all off. I love Epidemius but I want to be finished painting him as soon as possible.
"If you don't make mistakes, you're not working on hard enough problems, and that's a big mistake."
