Since I got plenty of painting done last week, this week I'm building another ton of marines to create a haunting painting backlog (and at least get them primed before Sisters).

Primarch's jump pack found a home, hopefully I'll get an excuse to try a proper smash captain soon. Worst comes to worst though she could be a VV Combat or Veteran for KT.

I realise that I haven't been posting in this thread much the past couple of weeks. At the moment I am busy preparing for an online painting challenge that starts from the end of December and runs for 3 months. I have a couple of hundred minis assembled and undercoated and I'm working on getting more stuff ready. I won't get everything done, but I figure that if I have a wide range of stuff ready to go I shouldn't get too bored with painting the same things for 90 days in a row. The challenge awards points based on figures painted (e.g. a 28mm infantry model is worth 5 points), and my target this time around is 1000 points. I'm hoping that I can exceed that, but a lot will depend on how much I can have ready before the start.
Painted Minis in 2014: 510, in 2015: 300, in 2016 :369, in 2019: 417, in 2020: 450

I bought a Kill Team. And took off the shrink wrap...

My return to gaming after 7+ years is almost complete.

I need to find a good basing material.

Aside from white glue and sand, GW do some basing stuff in their Citadel paint line (available ay Joshin Kids Land in Kamimaezu). Vallejo also do a nice variety of basing materials (Available at hobby shop Volks also in Kamimaezu).

the 100en shop is your friend. Cork sheets make great "stones" when broken up and painted, and you can even get little broken bits of cork sometimes in the gardening section. static grass is handy, too (from hobby stores) and if you fancy some real effort, green stuff (or equivalent) will allow you to just sculpt your own. Oh, and the box o skulls that GW do is awesome sauce, and probably the best product they make :)
current (2019) hobby interests
eh, y'know. Stuff, and things

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

Some day I'll do a kill team or something with good old-fashioned "just sand, painted goblin green" bases.
Feel free to call me Dave!

Today I got the Dark Imperium starter.

I will be playing a Death Guard Army, hereafter known as the RAINBRINGERS

The plan is to have 1000 points ready for January.

Ooh, they're pretty good in Kill Team. In particular they're good against the elite teams I like 😅
