I picked up basing material last weekend and finally, Saturday afternoon, I bought some glue.

Baby steps, baby steps...

The models are ready to be assembled.

Baby steps are steps! Be sure to share some pics when you get them put together!

"Contrast: For when you don't want to paint it, but you want it to be painted." Works pretty good over a zenithal prime too. I'd heard good things about Contrast Snakebite Leather, and it's looking like it'll be a solid go-to color in the toolbox.

@Balloonacorn - That's how it starts. One day you're buying glue to assemble a small kill team, the next you're trying to figure out where you are going to live after finally filling your home with minis. :D

@ToD - Nice progress. The Fury on the right seems a prime candidate for a broken ankle though.

As for myself, I'm still working on assembling and priming minis for the painting challenge I entered. The event kicks off this Saturday at 3pm (Japan time) and runs for three full months. Still lots to prepare and a few bits and pieces to pick up.

There is a very fine line in sculpting between "jumping off something like a cool action hero" and "just about to faceplant after an embarrassing fall".

I was thinking more along the lines of the actual model itself. It looks a little top heavy and all of it is held upright by a very slender piece of plastic.

Stop confusing me by speaking literally! The leg and rubble are a single piece at least, and thicker than, say, a lot of ankles in Malifaux - you'd probably have to purposefully grab the model and snap to take him off (I hope).

You are on road to salvation/damnation! Enjoy the hobby and journey!

The past two months have been great for my hobby. I’ve been putting in several hours each week. I managed to get around to building and painting up the stuff I got from Nick and Justin breaking the Shadow something-or-other box this last summer. I’ll try to post pics this week.

As per usual my hobby activities are sadly lacking of late. I have, however, just booked my hotel (and Underworlds tourney ticket!) for Naghammer in May, so I'm defo attending. Oh, and fwiw, I've also been painting goblins. No, really...

I haven't done much hobby for a while with my travel for work and now preparing to head to Australia for Xmas. I did start some work on my Bretonnian Army for Dragon Rampant (and have decided I'm a couple of knights short of what i ideally need - so if anyone has some plastic knights for sale/trade please let me know!).
In a similar vein a couple of guys i know here are interested in Frostgrave and Mordheim, so I started assembling a Bretonnian warband for Mordheim and put some paint on a couple more beasties for Frostgrave.
So many games, so little time....

I pretty much got those Furies done (to be fair, there wasn't much to do once the body was bish-bosh finished up with Contrast), so today I bought some PVA glue to base them and the goblin boss, and started building my third reaver for titanicus. I probably won't finish painting him before the year's out (but OTOH you never know!), so that leaves the current totals in my signature, plus 3 AoS models for the Furies, as my total for the year: 59 infantry models for the 40K-iverse, 62 for the AoS-iverse (plus a bunch of terrain), and 5 titans (plus some weapon options) and 6 knights for Titanicus. Not half bad!

I'll take that as a chance to share something I started up this year in hobby-ing to help me keep track of progress (and what's on the bench): a web app called Trello. I have a little board here where I've been tracking what I painted (with another "board of shame" basically just listing stuff in the queue), and just having it all in one place with pictures and everything has been really good for motivation.
