*shrug* Eh, they're done and ready to see the table anyway. For some models that basically show up sometimes, at random, that's about all I really need, heh.

@TOD- I do like those Harpy-thingies. Would be great in Strange Aeons.

I finally, FINALLY (and I never all-caps anything) finished the Saga job. Just need to pop down to the grocery store and find a box to pack em in.

Sacred statue- in the game it doles out buffs of some sort. "Kill the heretics before they get to close to our icon of peace!"

while I'm about, here's some evidence that I've actually been painting. Aforementioned 4 gobboes:
Image

I'm painting a squig just now. Generally, while painting, I follow the old school method of "from the inside out". I.e. I paint the innermost bit first (usually skin) followed by whatever is next to it (shirts, trousers etc) followed by armour, then the various accoutrements like belts, swords, necklaces etc. In the case of squigs, what this means is: Mouth, Teeth, everything else. So here's a picture of a half finished squig, because if it's going to haunt my dreams, it can haunt yours too:

Everyone's stuff looks great!

In...literal...contrast, I found myself the day before games day with primed but unpainted Sisters.

So I hid the primer:

I was saved by the Sisters' Kill Team rules being very much half baked compared to their brilliant 40k Codex, so while I won't have the flexibility I'd like tomorrow, there was no call for a full rosters' worth of models :)

@mij - oooh, that's a lovely scheme. The only reason I'm not immediately snagging it for my wolfriders is that they're all outdoorsy so pale and wormy wouldn't jibe lore-wise.

Last night I got the base colors down on the lower half of my third Reaver, and realized I'm going to have to clear out a lot more space on my bookshelf for titan display purposes. (I also came this close to sending Forgeworld more money, because the completionist in me makes weapon options for warlords an absolutely insidious thing.)

I haven't been able to do any hobby-ing over the last few weeks and probably won't get much time to do anything till next year but instead I've been thinking about what I want to tackle next. After thinking about what I've done over the last year I decided that since I've mostly been playing Alpha Legion and ignoring my main army, Tau, I've decided I'm going to go all out with Tau. I don't usually make New Years resolutions but since posting it online will make it harder for me to back down I've set the goal of doubling my Tau army over the next year. According to some quick calculations on Battlescribe, I currently have 2500 points build and partially painted so I'm going to aim for 5000 points fully painted and based by the end of 2020. My first short term goal obviously being having a proper 1300 points painted and ready for Nagoyahammer. Hopefully, I can get myself to stop playing video games and be more productive so that I can work on other stuff too instead of getting burnt out on just Tau.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing what everyone else is up to as well since that really helps with motivation and inspiration.
