Welcome to the world little future gamer. :) Congratulations Job!

Will the child follow the many paths of the enlightened and elegant Eldar, the path of the righteous greater good, the path towards the eternal Emperor's light, the path of supreme robotic superiority, the path of err...Orky Orkiness, or the path of perfect pandemonium and pollution? You will no doubt feel she is leaning towards the latter during the early years of growth. ;)

@ Primarch: You should see the color they pop into this world!
@ Jye: Oh by golly, wargaming ethics class will be the primer course before gluing and painting. (“Don’t throw your dice.” “Don’t use the measuring tape (and GW red sticks) as devices to slap you gaming mates.” “Make phew phew sounds when shooting at the opponent.”)
@ Kojibear: Oh she’s a younger sister. They’ll be raised to purge the galaxy of the unclean!

Thanks everybody!

Oh, and I’d post some pics, but all the work I’ve been up to came cascading off a high shelf. All things considered it wasn’t that bad, but I spent a good hour rooting around in bags and boxes they fell into. Once the bits of things that did get a chip are painted up, I’ll post.

Good lord, I missed this entirely. Humblest apologies for my tardiness, and sincerest congratulations to Job and Mrs. Job (and their little one.) May all her rolls be 6s (unless she’s rolling for morale!)

Finally got some paint on a couple of those toys. Sorry for the bad pics. I am going to rig up a proper light box this next week or so.
And watch out, the Diggachicks at the bottom are mostly nekkid as usual.

BOOM! Sort of a rough job. The cloak design and his beady, beady eye did turn out quite nice though.

And here is the Headchoppa. Not entirely happy with the pose and proportions. I was mostly trying to build a more muscular body than in the past. I don't usually go for a lot of blood on my figures, but it seemed appropriate this time.

There is a sword, holstered pistol, and a couple of fluttery breech-cloth bits I did not bother trying to stick on for the picture. I screwed up and forgot to magnetize her like I planned. I might go back and do that. I might chop off her right foot at the ankle and lengthen it a bit too. The legs ended up a little short for the rest of the figure. Again, I could not quite control the size and she ended up a bit too big.

@Job - I hope the damage wasn't too extensive.
@Konrad - Your sculpting and painting skills never fail to impress. I love the design on the dwarf's cloak.

I spent 10 hours today at Plamojuku for a paint-in.

I got *some* paint on *some* sisters.

(Not pictured: many unassembled sisters)

Luckily the Plamojuku regulars know their business:

Finished up the Godsworn Hunt for Underworlds!

The anime hair colors are a bit of a misstep, but I'll chalk that up as a typical "getting used to contrast, overwhelmed by the ease of painting nice bright colors" mistake. Aside from that, they turned out OK I reckon, and I was particularly pleased with the ease of on-the-model blending the slow-to-dry contrast paints let you do - you can see it here mostly on the doggo and the leader's cloak.

Its just mainly the blue and green that's a bit anime-ish, the rest would fit in perfectly. Either way they look pretty good.

I ended up taking the plunge and getting an airbrush... I'm still waiting on a bottle of black primer but since I got some brown I decided to try it out on the Ork aircraft from AI. They look a bit more red in the picture than they are in person but I'm planning to give them a wash of either Nuln Oil or Agrax Earthshade after I paint in the metallic bits and other details. Not entirely sure what to do about the cockpits though. I could mask them off and airbrush them with one of the Contrast base colours. A Constrast blue might make for a good cockpit canopy colour.

The AI planes are super nice models - it’s easy to see why the internets are all on fire about the game. I’ll have to ask you for a demo some day.

The green and blue hair are exactly the misstep, yeah. The rest of the palette is very warm, brown and yellow and red, so the blue and green stand out a bit more than I usually like. It’s not deal-breaking so much as something I just think I’ll avoid or try to tone down in future though - or give everyone green hair. :D
