Re: Welcome
Hi, Names Jolith or Michael whichever doesn't matter.
I'm the 3rd of the Shiga boys. I live up in Kohoku-cho, and played 40k back in 2003-2005. Friend of mine from high school was really into it and I played a few games mostly with just a small group of our friends. My personal army was Eldar, but don't really feel like shipping them from America so I'm going to start a Black Templar army. Nice to meet you all.

Welcome, Jolith (I'll call you Michael as and when I meet you in real life...)
nice to meet you, too
Feel free to post in any forum you like. I know a lot of them have devolved into rants, but thats largely because theres a core of about half a dozen members who know each other fairly well and meet up semi-regularly, and who actually get on very well in real life, but seem incapable of having a civil conversation on the forums. (We meet in Nagoya, last sunday of each month. Please come - Im getting fed up playing the same armies all the time. i.e. Space Marines. Oh, hang on - you have marines too - D'oh!)
In fact, what's this you say about being an eldar player originally but now going for Templars? (I'd post a raised-eyebrow smiley, but there doesnt seem to be one. Prim! Sort it out!) Surely the pointy-eared ones are by far the coolest army in 40k, no?
anyway, in all honesty - its good to have you on the forums. The more folks that join, the better this site will be. Onwards and upwards, say I!

Welcome to the site Jolith,
As MiJ says, real names are for real life, so we'll keep yours in reserve until we meet you. If you need any help with modelling, painting, collecting, gaming etc, please feel free to put up a post and someone will give you a response pretty quickly. (Then someone else will respond telling you the first person was wrong, at which point you will get hundreds of responses as the thread devolves into a bitter fight).
Just kidding,
Glad to have you aboard.

I do love me some Eldar, but I can't paint another Eldar army, it's just to much. I'd do a Dark Eldar army before I did Eldar again. But I do love me some Templars.
Re: Welcome
Hello all,
I'm Ian, originally from New Zealand. Currently living and teaching in a little town called Yanaizu up in Fukushima prefecture. Unfortunately it's a little bit far to regularly get to Nagoya for games, but hopefully in the future I'll be able to make my way down. Back home I played primarily 40K and Flames of War, with a little bit of Fantasy and Warmachine. I'm very slowly putting together an Eldar army while I'm here, but haven't made much progress.
Hopefully I'll be able to get to an event at some point.

Re: Welcome
Hi there Chrysis/Ian,
I'm Michael the ex-Immortal. I thought Chrysis might be you when I saw your post over at the FOW forums. Welcome to Nagoya Hammer, the place to see and be seen for gamers in Japan
How is your Japan experience going? Have you found any gamers anywhere near you? There are definitely some down in Tokyo, playing 40K and FOW.
If you ever make it down to Nagoya, give us a shout and we'll see what we can do.
Cheers
Mike

Welcome to the site Chrysis,
Hopefully we'll be able to give you some motivation to get that Eldar army put together and make a trip down to beautiful (???) Aichi prefecture.
Regards,
Primarch
